White vs. Black face Gauge on 99'

White vs. Black face Gauge on 99'

I've been researching on C43's for some time now hoping to purchase a silver 1999 in a few weeks. Now I love the AMG white face gauge on this car but recently I ran into a 99' with a black face. No AMG logo and a digital screen is on the center instead of the Tach. Thus gauge layout is diffrent. Can you guys tell me about the diff. color gauge face? Is one an upgrade/option?

Hmm. I thought they all comes in white. Well, get me the vin and I'll check if it's a AMG for you.

The cluster in the pic is not a C43 but from an Audi or VW. If u look at the picture with the front seats u can see that it has a white face guage. If I'm not mistaken only the C43 came with the white, all the others (including the C36) came in black

Indeed! I just look at the pictures again and do realized that only Audi have that middle Navigation thing. And yes it comes in white, if you look at the other picture.

I can't believe I was careless to missed that.

i remember seeing our neighbor's 97 c36 5-sp with white gauges downstairs in the parking garage long time ago...trim looked a bit diff than our 96 model...
