Centric supplies replacement pistons for the C43 front/rear calipers. ECSTuning offers the rebuild kits which includes the pistons and seals for $32.03 each for the front and $22.73 each for the rear. I just finished the prep work for painting. I'll be installing the new pistons and seals once the paint sets.

Hey D.,
Many brake performance companies can do them,
but preferred & recommend "RB", they're really professional with their stuff,,
have to measure your C43 caliper piston, to match with their optional sizes:-

If anyone is interested, I have two G2 engine paint systems in orange for sale. They retail for $64.99 USD and I'll let them go for $50 USD each. I decided to go with a custom color which was $107 USD. Here's the link to the colors.

I painted mine with heat resisting exhaust paint back in 2012. They still look like new.

did you paint yours yet?
the rebuilt centrics got here last week and they are beautiful. i mean they dont even need to be painted honestly.
also i was highly surprised that the rebuilt centrics not only incuded the base but also the locking springs as well as the long screws AND the protective rubber boots that go over the screws (i am missing one of those boots on my current calipers). so i mean considering all the hardware, the small pieces, and the fact that they looks brand new and everything is oiled, greased and refurbed... the price was just awesome!
i bought high temp spray paint 2000 deg black as a primer at the hardware store for $8 and i bought high temp grill paint 1200 degrees in semi gloss silver for $7.
i found a $10 can of 1200 degree clearcoat satin at the auto parts store but i didnt buy it.
i was thinking about polishing the calipers but im probably not going to do it. i'll post pics up after i paint.

Is Centric Parts a company who rebuilds brake calipers?
Is that a good reputable company, I know they have StopTech brakes as their top brand?
reviews from other customers says their Centric C-TEK rotors are total crap.
did shop fit pistons from ATE or Centric pistons when they rebuild these calipers?
what you can do is to apply a few extra goats of clear lacquer to protect the finish of the new paint from brake dust

thats not a bad idea. i could just return the two cans of paint i bought and only use the clear coat... the only thing is that the clear coat i found is a satin finish only. i didnt see it in gloss or semi gloss. maybe i'll take a run to another auto parts store and see what i find. but just doing the gloss is a great idea.
centrics does rebuild the calipers. here is the link to see the process they use. http://www.centricparts.com/products...ut=edit&id=269
pretty sure ATE is a different company so centric would use centric pistons.
my initial impression is that it is a 100%. i'll let you know how they hold up for sure and also follow up with the painted pics

like road test -- car and driver style? i'd have to buy some orange cones, its out of my budget this year. lol
ive been searching for the gloss clearcoat and no luck. will probably have to buy online. i also wrote emails to both centric and VHT paint with questions about applying clearcoat to the calipers. VHT recommends that curing time is 1 hour at 200 degrees. my question is whether the boots and seals in the caliper can take 200 degrees for an hour in the oven. the second curing process is just running them normally as the brakes get pretty hot.
my concern is that if the clearcoat isnt cured properly it might yellow out after a bit.
the alternative is to go with something like this but i dont want to spend this much https://www.clearcoating.com/products/MC-156/

also i didnt want to buy new pads or rotors. both are good on my car so i only paid $96 (inc. shipping) for both front calipers, sandblasted, prepped, painted and rebuilt including brackets, clip in springs, boots, and mounting hardware. i think its really hard to beat the value on this,
purchase your gear from fcp euro, its lifetime replacement for everything even oil and oil filters. kinda crazy.

putting gloss on calipers
VHT WEBSITE: Curing Caliper Paint
VHT Caliper Paint only attains its unique properties after correct curing.
Bake at 200°F (93°C) for 1 hour.
The inherent heat of braking operation will also accomplish curing.
TO VHT: i bought some rebuilt calipers from centric, they seem really nice and their prep work looks great. they are coated with some kind of rust inhibitor paint. i'd like to shoot them in gloss clear with your caliper paint. do you recommend removing all the boots etc prior to curing (i read curing is 2 hours at 200 degrees) or would i be able to get away with just spraying them as is and putting them in the oven. also is there any problem with just using the clear coat alone?
FROM VHT: Thank you for taking the time to contact VHT. We appreciate your interest in our products.
Yes, the boots and other components should be removed. The clear coat will need to go over a paint. It will not bond well to the metal by itself.
I hope this information is helpful. Please respond back you require additional assistance.

Craig

is there a big weight savings? that is probably the only reason i would swap them out.

read a few threads on different forums where guys said g2 was really good, but vht caliper gloss on top of g2 is next level. didnt see any pictures though. the reasoning was that the epoxy covers well and does have shine but it was not glossy enough.
