1999 C43 AMG, 2005 E55 Wagon
I always get such a kick out of reading the comments on any post concerning a w202 AMG on the big sites like that.
Nearly every single comment is the same misinformed, poorly-thought bull crap about "yeah but the first time it breaks (which will be nearly every day, 90s MBs are the crappiest cars ever) do you have any idea what it costs to fix!?!? having to buy all AMG parts are even more expensive than the crazy prices you already have to pay for it being a Mercedes!"
dude, my water pump was $100. "yeah but you need to pay a shop thousands of dollars to install it because it's a mercedes/AMG!"
on one hand, I'm fine with people being so stupid and misinformed about them because that keeps the demand for them low and thus the prices. but that also means they won't ever be worth everything because people think they're rolling disasters.
by their math my car should've cost me $500k in maintenance to reach 308k miles
