I thought all quattro door knobs was the first thing ya'll replaced?!
Even the original plasticky euro knobs looks so much more sleek than US style knobs!
I have cool Brabus door knobs on my car which I'm very happy to have.
Here's the reason why not to use american style door knobs.
US knobs are NOT so great if your car gets stolen!
If you park your car in a shady area, locking your car but being dumb probably by mistake, fogget to close any of your windows all the way up, a simple wire coat hanger will do the trick for any car thief to ****** your precious W202 AMG.
Your car will be gone in 60 sec, probably ending up in a chop shop garage or put on a trailer on the way to Mehico.
Therefore, don't leave your windows open and don't fogget to always lock your car if you wanna keep her.

you got it all wrong dude!
thief will slide the wire coat hanger throught the slot of your window if you foggot to close it all the way up!
your door knobs top portion will help to hold the wire in place to pull up the knob.
capisch!?

fun tip, I lived in some shady areas in college

I kept nothing of value in my w202 and just left the doors unlocked. On 2 different occasions I came out to my car the next morning and found the cars in the lot were all broken into. Smashed windows or bent doors, aftermarket radios and anything valuable stolen...

My w202 would be completely fine. They opened the door, found nothing, and left it unharmed. Twice!

parked in shady area with window slightly open, a wire coat hanger will be a great tool.
thief manage to pop the knob entering your car, disengage factory tow away alarm if you have any?

front and rear wheels will be jacked on portable platform wheel stands used by tow truckers, then you car is jacked.

those door knobs isn't very good keeping thieves away.
they were designed that way for safety reasons in case of an accident

Mines still Kicking, I have tried to sell 3 times and never can. I think I may never. Go drive some other cars, you will soon realize why these are so special. They dont build cars like this anymore and the ones they do cost big bucks! Plus the V8 is visceral compared to more modern V8's.

I was shopping for upgrades lately and drove several newer MB's, all E or CLS models from 2005 or later. I ended up scoring an E55 Wagon and I absolutely adore it, but as I came back and drove my w202 at the end of the day nothing really compared. It could be bias because I have driven a w202 since 1999. But my C43 has 312k miles on the car with 140k on the E55 engine in it. My suspension and steering are all completely worn out and need replacing, but it's still a more fun and interesting car than nearly everything else I drove. It doesn't feel much older or much 'worse' than my E55. The E55 has 150+ hp and almost 200 more ft lbs of torque, but it's not that much more fun to drive than my w202. The w202 just feels great. Everything from the throttle response to the way the buttons feel when I press them. It's just an all around great car and I won't ever sell it. It's a good thing mine is worthless (way too many miles) because I will never have a reason to sell it. It's probably the car I'll be driving my last day on this earth.

I love my C43 so much that I pulled her out of hibernation for a couple of days as the roads are dry and salt free. Nice feeling and appreciate the heavier steering compared to modern vehicles which are too twirly twirly
