Does anyone still own a W202 ?
Hey guys. So I’ve been going back and fourth. Do I sell ? Do I keep ? All I know is I’m kinda bored with my w202. Anyone else feel the same ?

lol. i really love my c43 and its a daily. i want to retire it and drop a m113k in. right now it has the 5,4 and it is hella fun to whip around in.
i might move over to a wrangler and/or s600 for my daily when that happens
my wife has a xc90 sport, very cool car too

I’ve had my C36 for a couple of years now. Honestly had it sitting in the garage for atleast 6 months just from Bordem. I would really love to spice it up a bit. But seems I just can’t find anything interesting to do to it. Don’t want to get into heavy motor work. I have a daily and so does my wife. This C36 was my toy.

its up to you really, i mean if the 202 isnt doing it for you then bump over to something you might like better. c36 imo is a good candidate for twin turbos, i mean you do have all that room under the hood.
really do love mine though, think it is a unique sexy classic car.

1999 C43 AMG, 2005 E55 Wagon
I do. I have a metric ton of miles on my C43/55. I love it and it's never leaving. I am never bored with it. My dream is to tear it down and restore it and have it looking brand new, but then go with the manual swap and an LSD to make it a true weekend blaster. This car is never leaving me. I usually carpool with my wife on our 50 mile commute to work but sometimes we have to drive separately for a week or two and I take my w202 and have an absolute BLAST. Just the other day a couple ricers in a G37S and a 370z wanted to do a pull and I humiliated them in a car that's old enough to vote and has more miles on it than both their cars doubled and combined.
But I do want to eventually park it and restore it.
This weekend I'm buying either a w211 E55 wagon or a w219 CLS55 AMG and I'm kinda torn on which one to go with. I'm leaning toward the E55 Wagon but it's across the country from me while the CLS is closer and cheaper with less miles. What would you guys do?

I just looked up both cars and that wagon looks awesome!
If I would to choose the cls I don't think I would bother restoring the C43.
But with the wagon I would look forward to restoring the C43.
The wagon and the C43 just compliment each other very nicely.
Cls and the C43 just don't. Either one you choose you will no doubt be happy.

get the cls.
i think the s211 loses something the w211 has. dont get me wrong, i LOVE wagons, but i just think the s211 didnt translate the w211 correctly. the s211 looks a lot like the s202 and that look is also carried over into the s203. i feel like there was no rear-body evolvement that you can see from w210 to w211 or from w202 to w203. if you found a s202, i'd be very excited.
plus you already have a classic amg so moving on to something a bit more modern makes sense with a limited collection.
sorry if im not clear, i mean there was evolvement from w210 to w211 and less but still some from w202 to w203, but only very little if any from s202 to s203 and s211 doesnt demonstrate much distance, if any at all, from s202/s203/s210

I mean an E class and CLS are just 2 different cars. IMO I think the CLS is still a top notch vehicle and anyone would be blessed to have one in their collection. I know I would love it.
But besides that. I still kinda bored with the C lol

If the look alone of this C36 does not keep you happy, there is no hope

ive always wanted a c36. problem has really been space. we have 2 cars now and 0 garage. i am probably going to buy another car this year, so that will make 3 and still no garage. im very attached to my w202 but a red c36 is very tempting

Carlsson CM60 EX:C36AMG'96
Don't own a C36 or W202 anymore, had 5 years fun with my old blue one. Deff a fun car, really like your red one pretty unique!
If you can aford it definetly keep it maybe as a second car. Would highly recommand a C209 CLK55/63, really enjoy my CM60 Carlsson. I'm pretty impressed with its quality.
Do miss the 202 from time to time but I unfortunatly had to sell and invest some money in other priorities.

Yep, ALL american market Jeep Wrangler style w202 AMG kinda suck when it comes to factory accessories.
In Eüropa we had all things available that NA could only dream about.
Options are far better today on all newer AMG's sold in the States.
Back then the NA market w202 AMG was a very limited options car, only fitted with stock power options and leather seats.
I have Eüro style AMG floor mats still in blister, brand new.
Your car will stand out with these floor mats if you can afford them?!
Everything for w202 AMG is nowadays quattro the price, no cheap accessory parts available anymore.
You gotta pay to play with the w202 AMG
I must say I'm very happy that I have all the extra luxury accessories available fitted in my car and some extra spare accessory parts laying around in new like condition which are today NLA
In 10 years they will be worth a fortune in gold.

Yesterday was the first time in my life I saw two c43s in one same day within one hour from each other. (unless at a car meet)
One silver, one black. The silver had C43 AMG on the plates.

I've had mine for over 10 years and hope to never sell it. It's starting to age, having to replace things like headliner and vents. I'm the 2nd owner.
But what a blast to drive, I've never found the limits. I am exploring how to convert it to 5 speed, but that will be all I do to it. I replaced the original suspension a few years ago with a full Bilstein setup, that helped a lot.
If you own one, you can't ask for much more out of a car.

I mean you also have other toys so it’s more difficult for you to get bored. I really do love looking at her. I’ve done the full suspension, I’ve done the headliner. Just would love to spice it up a bit. That’s why I’m thinking of picking up a C55. Just something about the C Class I love.
