C43 VS GS 400 w/99,000 miles.

This morning I hired a new agent to work in my office. After we were done with paper work we went to lunch when we went to parking lot to leave I noticed his newer C43 I said wow nice car, he said yae and this bad boy is FAST. I asked can it beat a GS400 Lexus? I said lets see. ( he still does not know about my E55 it was in shop until late after non today getting lowered) Went for 3 runs 2 from a roll one off line.

First run had it by 4-5 cars from 3-90mph.

2nd run was a little closer he came from behind me on the run once at my door I pushed to floor slowly car stayed in 2nd gear while he did a 1-2 shift at my door on the run. I speed matched it they pulled on top on 3rd into 4th.

2rd run from a stop with his go got out in first but C43 2nd was strong at my door then hit top of 3rd maybe 5000 rpm and started to pull hard had 3-4 cars on him at top of 4th in the GS400.

The GS is my old dragster. running 13.7 1/4 feels like it is broke after i drive the E55 or try to race them.
by the way GS has 99,000 mile of foot to the floor driving. with not one problem not one. In fact seems to shift harder and leanout better then ever now.

i think most people here in the c43 run around 14~14.5 sec no?

but hehe...yeah...12 sec vs almost 14 sec will be exactly like a c43 vs a civic...

Spanked C43 well. Like it had suger in it's tank.

GS400 has SRT intake and piggy ecu mod. Also Borla mufflers. And don't forget the 99,000 miles of all out a-- whipping I have given this car. Has brand new Yokahama AVS sports 285/40/18 on Volk Racing rims. I can power brake the crap out of the GS with little to no wheel spin. It launchs out hard. The little C43 never had a chance........ I did not want to go from a stop because the tire packet makes car leave so hard that Dale in the C43 would have quit to soon. And that is not fun. I now like to let other car leave on me. But only on street I like to see the power not how good he or she may be able to drive.

O don't forget the Pink Dragon TC !!!! ha ha!! Me waepon is revealed! 50 shot?????

Like today with my o4 E55 against a C5 vette. Let C5 get clutch out before I hit it and let up a little after top into 3rd so he keep tring.

Hand A--
Hand A--
Hand A--

All day long starts to get lonely out in front. I like to hear them go down fighting.

i had a c36...and use to own gs430's. maybe the driver of the c43 isnt a very good driver, or fears pushing his car to the limit.

What does a stock GS400 run ?

I've never seen a Lexus with mods, it's pretty cool that there is stuff out there for that car/engine.

Tell your friend he has good taste for owning a C43 !

Tuned Lexus look hot! I went to a GTG Friday night and had over 20 show up.....everything from turbo IS300s to supercharged GS400s, plus 300SC turbo and even IS300s with nitrous! Very cool bunch

This is an interesting thread for me. A red light runner totaled my GS 400 last weekend in Austin. I also had SRT intake/piggyback ecu, borlas, lightweight 18X9, but no Dragon TC.

I'm seriously considering a C43, GS 400 or S4 (reliability and smallness tells me to nix the Audi)

I know it's highly subjective but what do you think? My wifes 230K has been pretty much a little gem.

I hear ya. But my wife drives a C230K so I'm familiar with the size. It is the bare minimum in space I can handle.

The S4 Avant is tight in the back but the utility and 6 speed are appealing.

yeah, those would be a plus... have heard s4 had problems with aftermarket tuning...even tho they can take a lot of power...not sure... better to ask an audi forum on that...

kinda take ur pick between a v8 vs tt'd v6...

gs400 really is probably the least sporty of the 3 u listed...and since u already have had it...maybe u might wanna try something different...
