hi all

Does anyone have a list of steps to remove the steering box from a 99 C43?

can this be done with the engine in place?

If you want to do the job correctly----go to startekinfo.com and select WIS and put your VIN

Don't know about that site, but I can confirm that the official Mercedes-Benz WIS pages are not free.

www.startekinfo.com is the factory manual. M-B hasn't published paper manuals for 20 years. They put out CD's for a few years but dropped them because they would gradually not work as computer operating systems updated.

Startekinfo is a subscription site. 24 hours is $60. There are weekly and monthly rates also. The site is the portal to all sorts of information including the WIS (Workshop Information System). The site is huge and is geared to professionals (as were their paper manuals). It really helps if you know the M-B group system.
