Wheel center caps
ok, dumb newbie question. Do you have to remove the wheel to pop out the center cap on a standard MB wheel? These are AMG wheels. I am guessing the answer is yes

Hmmm, they're stuffed in there pretty tight, and I've always had them off. A tire guy (discount tire) told me once he could have done it if need be. Luckily, it didn't need to be at that particular moment.....I don't know if I'd jab something in there. Perhaps some sort of suction device?

I never try to pry out the caps from the front of the wheel. I do it from the inside using the wooden handle of a hammer to gently tap them out. A quick word of warning, place your hand over the cap on the outside when tapping out the cap from the inside to avoid seeing your cap fly out and hid the concrete or other hard surface which will scratch the part...

Yeah, you're right occasionally,,
IMO; if anyone need to pull the cap without removing the wheel, prefer to use very thin rubber/plastic removal tool..
