Hi Everyone- this pick and pull yard on the Trenton, NJ/PA border is a favorite of mine: http://junkyardbarbie.com/

I was there today and they have a 1999 E55 car in the yard. It is almost stripped clean, but the engine is still in the car. The car had a front end accident. The price for the engine is $210. I have no idea the miles on the car/engine and am not affiliated with the yard in any way. Just being a good sumaritan and hoping someone can take advantage of this for their C43.

Wow, at that low price it probably could be a good candidate for a full strip and rebuild taking into consideration you just need parts and providing the engine block is not shot

Cory, are you close by to this yard? Can you take and post pics of the car and engine next time you go?

I live about 2.5 hours away and dropped by there in my work travels this week. Like I mentioned, there is very little of value left on the car except the engine. The air cleaner is missing as well.

I was back at the yard today and the car is still there. $210 for the engine and $150 for the trans. I am guessing you could run the vin and get a pretty good guess on the miles on the car.

My guess is the water pump went out and the person was stranded.

That engine might be good for parts. Are they able to provide any info on it??

It is a pick and pull junkyard. No info. The car took some sort of hit in the front.

Didn't think of that possibility Zayed, but it certainly looks in a sad state. Also the oil filler cap is missing, Water and other debris access inside? I would walk away quickly. Did you also see the windscreen seal is totally perished. That's certainly NOT a good sign of what may have happened to the vehicle in a past life. Just my 2p....

i told that, cause, the EGR valves corroded soooo badly, seems it's been in saltwater looooong time..

Looks like a killer parts car. Wheels, engine and tranny could easily be parted out. Too bad it's in CT.

NJ had superstorm sandy in 2012. possibly a salt water damage if thats what it looks like. not saying it is but definitely could be.
