Cluster p1747
Im down to my last resort in trying to fix an error code on my c43 under p1747, which indicates a CAN bus error from gear selector module to instrument cluster. I got a new conductor plate, cleaned the TCM (which had no oil), checked all fuses in the car, and lastly got a new shifter (since mine doesn’t go through the manual gears). After clearing all codes with scan tool the check engine light still exist.
Now I’m down to believe theres an issue with the cluster receiving a signal. The clusters rpm meter also flickers up and down quickly on start up.
Is there a cluster repair service out there or is it best to get a used good cluster and clone it to my key. My cluster is also missing an ABS bulb, but i don’t think that has to do with anything i could tell the previous owner was trying to fix it, but didn’t get too far
