What oil and weight are you running?

As the title says what oil and weight are you running in your C36 or C43? Just looking to get experience from other people. I recently switched from mobile one to Pentosin Pento High Performance ll 5w-40 from 5w-30. The engine seems to have quieted down quite a bit from the higher viscosity. Let me know what you guys run!

C43 AMG with a tune up
Mobile1 0w40 in the C43.
I use this oil every year on my car.
There seem to be a manufacturing difference between american Mobile1 and european Mobile1 oil where the european oil seem to be better?

Mobil one, 0W 40. Changed annually. Less than 5000 miles year.

Always considering other synthetics, I.e. Motul, Etc.

With my mileage I end up doing 3 - 4 oil changes a year

It's not a matter of comparing..!,

every oil have differ spec. depend to the "Engine/climate/way of driving/oil life age",

it's super strength oil for, with (FST/A4R) tech., that gives Extra polymers for multi-grade viscosities,

will helps more for start up protection + improve oil temp., on high operating + anti wear for most components,,

i really noticed that with Engine sound as well..

I’m surprised to hear everyone running a 40 weight. It seems like so many are 30 weight now as a standard. Since changing I have definitely noticed the engine is quieter when running but it’s the 104 so those are not known to be quiet lol I change it every 3500-4000 miles since I rebuilt the engine completely about 20k ago. Still looks like new in the head 😁

Couldn't agree with you more. I have always wanted to watch those two very important factors monitoring the engine's blood and life line

Here is a really great video answering your request. Different car, same basic M113 engine..Courtesy of SK8215, my favorite Mercedes racer/builder.
