Indy Mercedes mechanic says my C36 motor mounts are "fairly collapsed" and that it's a good idea to replace them. Vehicle has close to 150k miles on it and these are the original mounts. I don't seem to get excessive vibration from the engine. I'll probably replace based on mileage alone, but just curious what you guys with experience think of how these look. Thanks.

From my experience youll see leakage from them on the side usually. It looks like rusty water but its whatever fluid that was in them.

I dont see any signs of leakage on yours.

I could be wrong but theres also other ways of checking. If they are original ones you might as well replace them.

Best way I've found is to put the car in drive with your foot on the brake and hit the gas. See how much the engine rotates, if it's a lot I would replace the mounts
