Hey all, I recently installed the new oe Bilstein/MB front shocks that were special ordered from Germany for $$$$. Nothing was actually wrong with the way the old ones were behaving, I just figured after 23 years SURELY the originals must be on their last legs. Well, out they came and geeez they are still MINT. Zero leaks, smooth as butter through the full stroke, crisp return. Even the finish is amazing. Maybe its the great smooth roads around here, or bilsein just had such incredible build quality back in the day?
Dang it, the new ones are non-returnable, otherwise I'd keep rolling with the originals! I've just put the originals up for sale on the Marketplace, and also on eBay, if any of you are interested or know someone who might be.
