finally drove a C43 (thanks Wes ) i must say that the seats in the C43 is awesome and the sound of the engine and the power is more on tap is awesome too.

Well, from what I hear the C36 just all and all just handles better then the C43. Also I hear even though the C43 has a faster 0-60 time in the quarter mile the times between the two are almost the same with the C43 having just a very slight edge.

The gap is not be very big.
I think the C43 is a wiser choice, and the V8 is so sweet....

1995 C36 AMG
I just recently purchased my C36 AMG and ive got to say its one of the best cars ive ever owned besides my 85 Monte Carlos SS. One word, FAST, eats ricers for lunch and dinner. I was totally suprised at its speeds. I noticed a few people mentioning not being able to get much over 300miles if that per tank. My gas guage wasnt working before so i had to watch my miles before filling up. Well before it practically ran completely out (wasnt paying attention to the gauge)... 368 miles, so it is possible. 
Im definately babying this car and plan on keeping it for a while.

I had a 2000 S4 before I upgraded to a 1995 C36
I might have enjoyed the S4 if it wasn't in the shop so often!!
that much power in AWD is very fun, but to me.. the MB wins where it really counts.
