Help me diagnose this code

Im not much of a electrician but I do have a multimeter. I have replaced the pressure switch with a used one just to see if its possibly a quick fix. How would I go about testing the wires that come to it?
P0450.
The value (e.g. voltage or frequency value) of the pressure sensor/switch signal is incorrect (undefined fault). Sensor/switch voltage/signal could be: out of normal operating range, constant value, non-existent, corrupt. Possible fault in the pressure sensor/switch or wiring e.g. short/open circuits, circuit resistance, incorrect sensor resistance (if applicable) or, fault with the reference/operating voltage; interference from other circuits can also affect sensor signals. Where a pressure switch is fitted, it is possible that the switch contacts are not operating/closing correctly, or the switch contacts have a high resistance.

Did a quick Google check. Plenty more using Mercedes code P0450:

After taking off the ground and sanding down the corrosion, the check engine light disapeared.
Hopefully thats all it was.

He found that the fuel pressure sensor was reading a bit high under certain load just like I figured.
Gonna have him recharge ac than I can finally pick up the car. Ill replace the sensor myself when I get the car back and hopefully no hickups for smog.
