lol im here in south florida, there were a couple posts on it but it had a 30k two tone paint job by PPG commissioned by mercedes and from I understand there were two and mercedes wanted both destroyed after their purpose was done but a collector saved one and it got sold to a private collector that has it now.

I was at this meet (UCI town center) way back in the day, that red c36 is one of the nicest 202s I've seen, has stuck in my memory ever since. It had a full "period correct" McIntosh system too, so sick.

Found a couple more pics of that c36, and after finding those, I'm pretty sure the black c43 you posted is my friend's brother's car, he was at that meet as well. The desert silver car is my buddy's (OCKlasse if you remember him from the old 202 forums), the silver c230k with the reiger kit is mine. Even more random is that all three of us work together now...haha, thanks for the somewhat random trip down memory lane!

Do you remember the wheel setup on the red c36? It doesnt look like factory offset on those bbs wheels. I spoke to the former owner about two years ago but he didnt remember the offset. Tires were 265 35 18 and theres no way he squeezed those in with that wheel in the back, not while being that low. Someone told me the wheel might have been shaved down in the back.

Yeah, those were fun times. McIntosh makes high end audio equipment and they only made aftermarket in-car stuff for a short period of time in the mid 90s - early 00s. It was (and still is second hand...) really expensive stuff and rare to see even back then. From what I remember the owner (at least the one we met) pretty much bought the car the way it sat, so he didn't have a ton of info on the details. We assumed the prior owner had the wheel machined down to raise the offset because they fit way too well.
