Cabin filter on W202
I have always replaced my cabin filter on every A and B service.
However I don't remember if there is only one or two cabin filters on our cars?
The W210 has two cabin filters.

W202 had single cooling system, this is why the AC comes with only one cabin filter?
W208 and W210 with dual AC left/right cooling system had twin interior cabin filters, this is correct?
I always use OEM brands like Hengst, Knecht, MANN, Mahle.
Never noticed any improvmenet with MANN's more expensive filter "Precious Plus" this is the successor of MANN's charcoal filter series.
Don't know if this filter is worth the extra cost?

I have never heard of the "Precious Plus" filter line. Sounds very much The Lord of the Rings

In any case, if you are changing the filter every year, a less elaborate one should be more than sufficient. I don't think the climate conditions in your northern hemisphere needs a heavy-duty filter like one would like to have if living in a very dusty climate environment.

Prefer to go with premium anti bacterial activated cabin filter,
like "Hengst blue care" or "Mann frecious plus",,
i test them many times, they are really superb..![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

Yeah, I imagine that with a dual control A/C system with separate controls for the left and right side of the cabin, two filters makes sense.

There was a typo in my spelling, sorry about that.
It's not MANN Precious Plus correct description is MANN Ferocious Plus.

I also ment to write dual zone AC climate system for the W208 and W210 series where the W202 only had the less advanced mono zone AC

I guess this is the reason why we sweat a lot more in summer in our cars when owners of the 55AMG's are more of like cool dudes.

while W210/W220 uses dual AC filters and dual activated charcoal filters..![Wink](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
