C36 MAF (Mass Air Flow Sensor)

My check engine light came on and I checked the gas cap and it was mis-aligned. I hooked it up and CODE 170 came up which means Fuel Trim. It could of been the gas cap that caused it or the MAF. I reset the computer because after I adjusted the gas cap, the light did not go out right away.

What are the symptoms for a bad MAF?

i don't think it's your MAF
because,
when car is on and your gas cap is off or misaligned etc. it does throw a bad code and check engine light comes on, check engine light will only go off after you turn off the car restart it (after of course adjusting your gas cap), but code stays in memory until you clear it yourself with obdII tool.

if you dont have any other symptoms to indicate something is wrong it was just your gas cap, no worries.

C36 Maf

Thank you. You mean that you have to clear the code even if you have adjusted the gas cap? That means you have to go to the delaerhsip to reset. I don't think I have any other symptoms to show a bad MAF.
