Hey everyone, I haven't posted in probably 4 years....Since sorta of rescueing another c43 from the dead with my 1999 Silver C43. No I am not a mechanic but can do a bit of DIY.
Anyway I have an opportunity to purchase one here up in Canada for a pretty good deal (under $5k). Now I know with values going up on these I think this is a good deal. Owner says there is a bit of rust on the drivers door, and the clear is peeling on the hood and some other random spots, but the car looks pretty solid. It's in another city and is sitting outside the last number of months so I actually can't go view it unless I go with a car trailer and pick it up, which is a bit of a gamble I guess. He said it won't run but will turn over. Suspects it is the fuel pump...? I would say that or bad gas, fuel filter or CPS? Here are some pics. What do you guys think? I think parts alone I would break even if it was a basket case mechanically? Pics attached.

I think it’s worth saving ,how many miles does it have . I think with a few thousand bucks and some tlc and labor of love you can bring it back to life good luck man

They're rare everywhere, but especially rare in Canada. It looks like it would take very little to get it going. 100% would save.
Check fuel pump relay before you investigate anything else. You can swap in one of the relays from the power seats (same part) and see if it sends fuel to the engine.
But first of all, ask the owner how long it's been sitting and why has it been sitting. Usually good clues to had.
Congrats on the find. A black on black C43 is a true thing of beauty!
Spray some fuel or starting fluid down the maf. Remove the air box and spray and have someone start it as you spray. I would buy that car in a second. If it cranks it WILL start. Rust can be fixed or doors can be found if you want to go that route.

When I saw the photos of the 43 sitting in the snow it gave me the shivers. Looking at the general very poor condition (dust and sh*t all over) and lack of love given to the vehicle, I wonder how the owner treated the car. Has it even been serviced regularly? I doubt it. It could have a lot of hidden faults including rust underneath which will only show up when it thaws out. Honestly I would pass, not unless OP really want to get it back up and running. Probably would also need a thick wallet IMO
