It is hand made and I am not professional. It is my first attemt with sewing and in my opinion it is ok. The star itself I think is quite good. The only thing is the circle that is not so nice. The problem is, I you cant really draw on the Alcantara. So I used a paper print out from the back (for AMG logo you need to print mirrored). Unfortunately the size of my printout did not match exactly. Maybe I will improve when finished all the other parts and I have a little more practice.

The dash board is finished already (pictures will follow soon) and I think it looks pretty nice. Again some little mistakes at beginning, but I am learning to optimize my technique.

Now I a working on the door covers and I think it is the most difficult part.

I also checked some other cars like Brabus, Aston Martin... to get ideas. Even in these expensive cars the sewing is not perfect sometimes.
For sure the use a sewing machine for most parts but even there you will find some little curves in sewing line sometimes. Hand made parts in my opinion don't look better than mine I think.

For logo they have a big advantage, because the have their own logo they can stich with computer assisted machines.
There are companies that offer stitched logos from print you send. i don't know how it is in USA, but in Germany no one will offer a AMG logo or MB star due to trademark protection. So the only possibility is to do by your own hand made :-(

Bye,
Stephan

More pictures soon when i finally install my front K-Mac kit, lower the front axle, touch up the nose paint and re-align front bumper.

Meanwhile pay attention to tinted lighting and a teaser of the black grille.

pm me, i have a buddy of mine that does professional stitching over here so i can ask him how much it will cost to embroider the letters and the star and everything will look about right. in usa you can't do that either since it's trademark protected but again, my buddy owns the business haha

Got my car out last week and we had a 1 day of snow surprise (normally It's stored for the winter) but since *she* never saw any snow, I thought that 1 time in it's car life of snow riding wouldn't be bad.

Great photo and very nice car.
I have been driving my 43 over the Alps this weekend (oh I don't want to mention the speed driving around but I did enjoy that "special" kick around 4000 rpm when the cams come in to sing. However, after seeing this black beauty I regret putting a flat MB badge on the vehicle. Guess I'm going to put back on the Star. The missus also prefers the Star Says you can better aim the car in the corners

So I got the bumper repaired and now all is left is new grill, tune up, and minor mechanical fixes here and there.

But check 'er out!

haha thanks man!

the wheels are iForged Sprint 18x8.5, 18x9.5... i am not too sure about the offsets as i bought them 2nd hand from a c32 owner and they do not actually have any stamping on the inside, but they are apparently c-class specific/custom.

Looked *** awesome.

The driver looked a but confused/puzzled when I first gave him a thumbs up...

We both got off at the same exit, and exchanged greetings. Nice finally meeting you speedybenz! (Sorry about the dirty car - its my daily driver/work in progress lol)
