ide okey kod meni, auto ide dobro.
imam neke stvare sa styling da namestim, novi discove i kocnice kao tvoj c32 da stavim na moja mecka.
isto i roletna s strujom na zadni prozor, jos to mi fali na auto.

1999 MB C43 AMG
Here are a few pics I took this week end. Since the last ones, I got a 35% tint, the calipers painted yellow and wrapped the outside B-pillar with 3M CF vinyl wrap.

1999 MB C43 AMG
Thank you. I have H&R sports springs and Bilstein sports shocks. I also swapped the pads to #5 in the front and #4 in the rear. These pads # are the thickest ones I could get from the MB stealership.

As of last month I am a new C43 owner.
I picked this up in Portland Oregon from a dealer who specializes in exceptionally maintained used European cars. I couldn't be happier!
It has 18" Monoblocks. Where these a factory option, or did the previous owner get them off of a different model?
Thanks for having me!

Welcome aboard!
That is one very fine looking 43
Just like mine and nice to see the 18" wheels. As far as I know, the 18" were not standard size for this model. They come from a E55 of the same era. They fit perfectly and is a upgade you find often. If they are OEM AMG wheels, better make sure you gets some locks on them because they are $$$$ Replicas never replace the real thing.
Please fill use in on the details of the vehicle MY, mileage, options, etc. Your vehicle has a perfect stance. Can you fill us in on what suspension you have. Is it aftermarket or Euro spings and shocks?
I have the same color in 99' edition with all black interior with some options which are difficult to find in N. America as I am in Europe and not too far from Affalterbach, the stable of AMG cars

Thanks guys! I intend on keeping the oem look. Considering the low production numbers I think it's best (resale value and all).
Thus far I've only deleted the secondary's and the resonator.
They are monoblocks. Thanks for the tip on the wheel locks; that didn't even cross my mind.

Freeman Motors also advertised their C43 on Vancouver, B.C. Craigslist. I notified them as all C & E Class models '99 and earlier are inadmissible into Canada. The reason is in regards to the child tethering anchor system which does not meet Canadian safety standards. I know this because I researched it thoroughly and there is no way around it. Mercedes Canada sells the child tethering kit and it is easy to install but they will not allow it. RIV (Registrar of Imported Vehicles) is provided with all the information from Mercedes Canada and when I spoke to Mercedes Canada they said that there is no way around it, PERIOD! Even though the Canadian models do not meet the safety standards either, they will not allow any more into the country. It is quite the joke.

I really lucked out in regards to my '99. I happened to be discussing Benz's with a friend as I had just sold my '99 Kompressor. She overheard the conversation and tells me that she has one for sale. She did not know much about the car as it was donated to The Parkinsons Society of B.C.. She said that she was the CEO and it was donated to them by the owner who had recently passed on. She tells me that it will be going up for auction in a few days and all the proceeds were going to their society. She asked me if I would like to view the vehicle the next day and I said certainly.
She drives up in a mint condition, one owner, Obsidian Black C43 with only 120K Kms. on it. My excitement was very noticeable as I knew what this was as I had been searching high and low for one the past few years with no luck. I thought that I was seriously dreaming. I mean, what are the chances of that ever happening? I managed to contain my emotions as I began to look the vehicle over. After 5 minutes I said to her....what are you looking to attain for it? She replied 8K CAD. I said "it's a deal". I asked her if she could get Vancouver Mercedes to do a quick inspection on the car and I would give her a deposit. She accepted but did not want any deposit.
The next day was very nerve racking as I was eager to get the deal done asap. She called me at 11am and tells me that 3 Mercedes mechanics offered her 15K CAD for it. I thought to myself #UUUUUUUC% NOOOOOOOO! She then tells me that a deal is a deal. She is representing a charity and it would be unethical business practise to go back on an agreement. Besides that, she stated that I saved her the trouble of having to auction it. The original owner had everything for the car, including a brand new Mercedes spare, in case he ever had to use the original. Tons of new Mercedes detailing products that were never opened were also included.
That was one of the luckiest days of my life. I will post pics after I am finished with the exterior mods and lowering. I am thankful that I kept my mint 18" E55 staggered Monoblocks from my other car before I sold it. Love those classic Monos as I never grow tired of them.
Cheers

Love that front plate! No one would ever suspect a thing. "Oh just a cool C43 with a roof rack. Bet that rack slows it down. We should race it."

Carlsson CM60 EX:C36AMG'96
I recently paid 5000euro on maintenance it was alot of money but the car should be perfect now (lol I hope) replaced the harness, and some suspension stuff, tranny rebuild ,new head gasket, oil etc etc. There's something about this car that makes it different I dont really now what. For example I test drove an e46 m3 last week, I wanted to know if those cars are nicer to drive daily. Answer is pretty simpel no! the suspension is alot stiffer and doesn't let me get over all the speed bumps over here lol, plus it misses alot of torque, in the high revs sure it's faster same for a track. btw the c36 drifts around roundabouts and corners with ease the fun factor is pretty high in this car. c36 in good condition feels a bit like the e190 EVO2 the steering is very fine, to me it feels little better then the c32/55( they are very very nice to). i truly think maintenance is a very important especially with this car, sadly most of the c36's in europe are in poor condition I test drove a few they fellt less responsive and powerfull. I'm very happy with this car and I'm probably gonne keep it for a long time I"m sure my car will be woth a decent amount of money in future, since it only has had one owner before me and the conditon. In the US these cars seem to pretty cheap over here you pay atleast 10k for a c36 with full mantainance history. can't wait to do some upgrades sadly I'm low on cash atm since I'm an 18 year old student ;p. Maybe I'll buy a c43 in future love this cars
