As of last month I am a new C43 owner.
I picked this up in Portland Oregon from a dealer who specializes in exceptionally maintained used European cars. I couldn't be happier!
It has 18" Monoblocks. Where these a factory option, or did the previous owner get them off of a different model?
Thanks for having me!

Here's my '98 C43, test fitting the E55 wheels I purchased.
Need to get new tires before I actually run them on the street. Front and rear bumper needs a spray job too. Previous owner seemed to park-by-feel often....

Nice catch on the 18" monoblocks; I can never seem to find any for sale...

If you really want a set, cast your net out. Post WTBs, keep your friends informed. There's a lot of E55s out there, so someone is bound to swap out their wheels.

Just changed the valve cover gaskets on the c43, and snapped a few pics of the timing chain, rockers and (somewhat) clean valve covers for your viewing
160k miles and the valve rockers still look brand new![EEK!](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/eek.gif)

i don't see tiptronic display next to your clock.
you have the old style AMG rims.
2000 had other rims
which one do you have of these 3 different centre console trims:
black wodden trim (Japan) - brown (USA) - fake carbon fiber (euro style)?

Weird... no tip, no tip cluster, not 00' wheels, and pre-1999 style radio?? It's got some really nice designo stuff though, I really dig that wood (just not matched with the red) but I'd venture to say it's not an 00'. I'd question yours a little too. I'd run that VIN just to be sure.

car can be registered in 2000 but the black c43 in this link is not a c43 last year production car.
it's an 98 with old style radio.
many c43 cars in germany were registerd late, it doesn't make them a geniune 2000 tiptronic car
