AMG C43 1999 Abs-esp-check Engine Lights
My Abs-esp-check Engine Lights Are On For The Last 6 Months. The Traction Control Is Out. Anyone Know Why?

I have gotten the ESP/BAS light on my C43 too. It usually happens when i turn the car on, i turn it off and then when I turn it back on and it goes away. I think it may be a steering angle sensor but it could be a number if things. Does anyone have any opinions on this?

it may be your power supplies. check your battery and alternator. i believe there is something in the manual about those lights going on.
i also think you ESP is out due to the power suppply too. check your battery with a voltmeter. also, have you checked your fuses?

You will have to have a dealer read the diagnostic codes and fault trace the self diagnostic system to be sure exactly what it is. These messages come on for many different reasons. When mine came on though it just needed a brake pedal position sensor, takes about 5 min to install.
