I am so torn between 2 models.

The C450/43 was a close as I could get in the C class to the C63.
If I was in a warmer climate, I would have probably made a different choice.
Congrats again!!!
I've tried most snows including the euro brands like Gislaved and my recommendation would be:
1 - not dunlop

2 - if you want max traction at the cost of dry performance then go with Nokian Hakkas. They're excellent and come with a 50K mile warranty. I drove an M3 convertible with nokians for years in snow and never got stuck once, but I passed a lot of stuck people!

3 - If you want max dry performance at the cost of some traction then go with Vredestein Wintracs. These are excellent - you won't get stuck, but you will have slip going up steep hills during a heavy snow storm. Overall these are usually my sport pick and they wear like iron. My last pair I drove for 3 seasons and then to California during the summer and then around for months!
If you're going to be driving in snow a lot (vs ice), the skinnier the better. AWD is not needed, just good snow tires.

If I still had that car, I definitely would heed your advice. I am debating putting on winter tires on my factory C450/43 wheels this winter. I'll take your brand recommendation under advisement.
Thanks
