C43 Coupe Buy Question
Go in and make a reasonable offer to the guy and negotiate for a compromise from there. Explain to him why giving you the deal you desire is a good business decision for him and his dealership. Be educate and hold your own in the negotiation and you'll earn his respect, and probably a better deal in the end.

P.S. did you get prices for the options you got for your coupe?

As I understood you correctly, it was the first dealer you emailed?
Do you mind sharing your email to the dealer?
"Hello xxx,
I want to order C43 Sedan for invoice plus fleet discount. If you can meet this price, I will go down to the dealership today and make a deposit."
Oh, I see now that you said you 'went in', so I assume you didn't do any emailing.
What's the best approach guys?

99% of all the questions you're asking can be answered by a dealer you've developed a relationship with.

Thanks for you input though! Just want to know a little more about negotiation process before I actually go there.
In terms of learning about negotiating, read "How To Win Friends and Influence People"...those core principles are pretty much all you need for winning a dealer to your side of the table, paired with some knowledge of the financials and the options.

A week or two later I texted him (his preference for contacting him) and said I wanted to meet to discuss further.
When I got there I told him I decided on ordering a C43 sedan and I would like to buy from his dealership as long as they were willing to work with me. We built the car in Netstar with options and I informed him I was at invoice + Fleet. I had the order guide, knew what I wanted, and knew what the outgoing C450's were going for. They accepted my offer at 6% + Fleet. I joked after that I should have said 8% and got the distinct impression that 6% was the max they would ever go. He is a pretty straight shooter and I have no reason to doubt what he said.
Anyway that was my experience and I am pretty happy with the price for a brand new 2017 C43 Sedan.

This is assuming by "invoice" you mean "invoiced value paid by the dealer".
