C43 Coupe Buy Question
Thanks God someone from edmunds told me to visit this website because it has a lot of MB talk. And it really does
Alright, straight to the point. I am from USA and I want to buy C43 Coupe. While reading some threads, I saw a lot of people already ordered C43 coupe, however, when I reached out to a local dealer, he told me that it's not possible yet, and as soon as they get some information on it, they will contact me. Could someone from USA reply to this thread saying whether or not it is possible to order it now. Moreover, if someone already did order it, could you please share discount% off MSRP that you've got for this model? Originally, I thought that I want to do EDP because it gives me 5% off MSRP instantly. However, upon reading different threads, I see people getting 10% off MSRP on this model, which is super surprising for me. If that's possible, could someone advice me what is the best route to go in terms of money savings: custom American order or EDP? Also, if you were able to negotiate your selling price, could you please share your approach on it? E.g. you contacted dealer saying I want to custom order C43 Coupe from you if you can give me 10 % off MSRP today? Finally, do you guys have some US configurator yet (maybe from your local dealer)?
Sorry for so many questions, I just want this car pretty damn hard, but also want to get a decent deal on it since it seems quite pricey

Thank you guys in advance!

All of the above will apply to you in the US except for the 10% off, that is part of a negotiated transfer from another deal on a C450 I had put together previously. I would not expect others to be able to replicate it (as least not very often), it is more of a one off and I got lucky. Hope this helps...

Could you give me dealer info? What would be the possible discount on MSRP? If you refer me to your dealership, could we expect some money back on that?

Also, could you explain more about your fleet discount? How does it work? What are the requirements that you need to meet to get fleet discount? You are uncertain what your fleet discount will be, what is it depending on?
Crown Dublin Mercedes is the dealership if you want to try to work with them.

You said that base MSRP is 55,000, but no price on option? What was the deal with the dealership? They will apply 10 % OFF on the final price of the vehicle with destination?
So I don't know if that 5% also applies to the C43 Coupe -- it may be more or less since my discount was based on a C63 Coupe. Keep in mind that the 5% discount is on MSRP - that means the TOTAL cost including all options you've spec'd. Keep in mind that with European Delivery, you also save $925 because MB waives the destination fee -- so it's not included when you're calculating your discount (IE; a $60,000 C43 vs $60,925 C43, you receive the X% discount on that 60k).
I was also able to get a $500 Appreciation Bonus after speaking to a MB rep at the New York Auto Show in March about ordering the Coupe. But that was just a stroke of luck.
I'm not sure you you can do much better than that as these Coupes are brand new and pricing hasn't even been announced yet (at least officially).
I highly doubt anyone will get anywhere near 10% off unless it's a special exception like the one with inhartwetrust. That's just not going to happen when dealers only have a few limited allocations for the first production run and people who have already put down deposits are already expecting to pay MSRP.

P.S. What configurator were you using when specing your C63s since mbusa.com doesn't have one yet?

And yes, they will take my final MSRP and remove 10% from the price.
As for fleet discount, just Google "Mercedes Fleet Discount" and your answers will be right at the tip of your fingers. It's incredible, really.

Also, did I understand this correctly: for C43 you cannot get red seatbelt unless you have MBTex or black leather?
If the fleet stays at $2k for the 2017 sedans that should put me about 10% off, if it drops to $500 I'd be about 7% off. The dealer indicated it should stay at $2k but honestly who knows. Not sure how good I did but I am happy.
To the OP for the fleet discount you have to work for a big company that has a registered fleet account with MB. Talk to you dealer to find out if this applies to you.

If for any reason I don't want the car after it arrives they refund my deposit and sell it off the lot. This dealership sells more GTs than any other in the region so I don't think they mind having one of the first C43 models on deck.
$2K is also double the standard retainer amount.
Sounds like they may have been making promises on their best guesstimates.
I am really confused on why they can't offer matte grey on C43 (or can't offer Ed1 at least) nor why they can't offer red seat belts for all leather other than black one.
