Will the C43 a Bad a Purchse?
Question , if I purchase the C43 will this be considered a "poser" car to the C63?
kind of like , buying C300 when you cant afford a E class.
Why Do I ask?
Well I just don't see the big difference in the 43 and 63. Would it not make sense to option out a 43 rather than 63?
A c43 coupe is nice. No one needs a 500 HP car, but you may need awd. Personally if you don't plan on tracking the car I would get a loaded c43 before a stripped down 63.
So once again get what makes YOU happy.
Questions to ask yourself
Are you going to track it
Do you need awd
Are you going to mod it. And for looks or speed
Do you want the features in a loaded car?
Can you live with a stripped car with huge HP
You actually hit the point I was getting at. Just paid off my C300.
I want to make sure I go into this the right way.
Why! the C300 was a bust for me great car, however I could have purchase a 3 coupe , etc.
so here we are C43 , C63.
1. Daily driver is a 2009 Honda accord
2. I don't track , and don't plan on it.
3. I drive an average speed of 75mph
4. based in CA , I usually travel the 605.405, 91
5. I will not mod it , other a tint the windows
6. I can live a with a stripped and huge horsepower <<< are you saying the 43 has a lot of horsepower?

I am personally buying fully loaded C43 because:
1) I cannot afford C63S fully loaded (I don't want to buy base C63/C63S with no options)
Even if I could afford one, I would still buy C43 because:
2) AWD
3) 20 years old -> not experienced driver -> C63 too much horsepower
I'd better super luxury C43 with all the options and AWD (I am living in Ohio, a lot of snown down here) rather than overpowered for a daily driving C63 with rear wheel driver. I don't crush somewhere someday lol
Moreover, I think that 362 is bhp is totally enough - you will be still faster than 90 % of the cars around you.
why stretch when you can load the 43 and still have the joy of an AMG right!
I can swing $900 monthly , guess that's why I was looking at the C63.
again thanks for the reply.
I'd totally get one (c63) if I could justify the cost.

That's basically it.
If you like buying tires every month you can also have fun with drifting and burnouts in the C63.
The exhaust notes from the C63 have a little more bass due to the V8.
The steering setups are so close as to be nearly identical.
Suspensions are very similar with the C63 being a little stiffer in all suspension modes.
C63/C63s have limited slip rear diffs C43 has AWD and fancy torque vectoring.
The C43 will be an excellent daily driver. The C63 can be a fine DD down in SoCal it will just demand more stops at the gas pump.

Living in CA i think driving on highway you may benefit greatly from having distronic in a loaded car, that is if you are stuck in traffic a lot.
What i was trying to say on #6 was can you live with a base model car that really only thing you are getting is much more HP. the c43 has plenty of power for regular use. personally I always make sure i can load up a car with all the things i want. i would not be happy with the smaller screen, no HUD, Non LED headlights and all those great features.
Kubik has the right idea.
good luck with your purchase. oh and are you saying lease of 900? i don't thing an c63 would be anywhere close to that unless things have changed a lot since Jan.
Lease no! ... looking to purchase @ 21K down and finance the rest.
just how I role.
Yes morning , and noon ***** to wall traffic everyday!.
Does the C43 have the same body style as the C63? or does it mirror the C class.
Both are great so pick your poison.
cal.
or no?
C43 , practical DD. will have all the fun features I need except the following below...
1. pop and crackle on the highway from V8
2. no downshift noise
3. Less HP
1. Still has the pop and the crackle is a little more pronounced. The pitch is a little higher with less bass
2. Still burbles on the downshift when in Sport+. With performance exhaust option the burble may be noticeable in the other modes. I'm not sure though.
3. C43 has fewer ponies and less torque.
The C43 body is nearly identical to the C300 with the AMG sport styling. The C63 is a little wider and longer than the other W205 cars.
the information has been beyond great.
Thinking I will go with the C63 for now.
for now I bow out gracefully
, hope you current owners suffer turbo lag entering the freeway....
that is until ....im sitting in the office waiting for my keys!!!

come on the 43 rear looks likes a C300
the rear on the 63 ....pure sick! im sold!!
told you, not making the same mistake I made with my C300
no regrets .....going all in this time.
1. What option(s) are a must, it looks like all that lane and past assist
can be a pure headache and not needed.
2. Do the standard LEDs really lag in compare to the upgraded.
3. if one gets the C63 is the Performance Muff a must?
I have never had snap , crackle and pop ...excepts for breakfast.
I assume the standard muff on the 63 , will be enough for to me feel like
I have arrived at greatness....well that's how I felt when I pulled of the lot in my c300......ONLY TO FIND OUT THERE WERE E CLASSES.....UGH!!!!!
okay back to my question...lol
soon as I seen the rear on the 63.....1.6 seconds later I was like F...that
Ill take the 63 boneless.....
Lets at least compare apples to apples (the photo angle means everything):
