Sport seats compared to stock - opinions/impressions

There is probably a pretty good chance that we will eventually see a vented performance seat option on the AMG C-Class. The new W213 E63 will be offering performance seats for the first time in it's history and they will have both a heating and ventilation option. And the MY17 GT S has recently added venting to the seat options (and the GT-series only comes with performance seats).

Not soon enough! I'm with ya brother. (That's definitely one of the reasons that I am excited about the new E63... the 603 hp doesn't hurt either )

When i first test drove the c450 it had sport seats and when it was time to place my order the dealership had one with the performance seats and i tried those. I opted for the performance seats. I wasn't able to make it to the cut off so my order was delayed and had the c43 by then. The performance seats fit me like a glove. I like the support, and the only complaint i have is i wish it slid back on egress and ingress, like my old w211 e class.

Selected the nonperformance seats mainly because the vent option.. Also I like having the bigger seats.. And they are bigger. The performance seats felt snug on the sides…
I have to say i'm very impressed with the NAPPA leather quality.. its gorgeous all the way around

I guess if you get ventilated seats, leather would be fine. If not vented, leather would not "breathe" and I don't like sweaty seats in summer time. I drove both performance and regular dynamica (suede) seats, and did not see too much of a difference. Regular seats have actually a good side support.
Hopefully next models will have suede ventilated seats, if not the regular, maybe the sport ones will be ventilated.

Just rode with my buddy in his C43 with performance seat from SD to LA. Definitely felt a little stiff by the end of the trip. I'm glad I went with the ventilated seats. Looks-wise, performance seats are better hands down.

yes for the drivers seat you have both bolster adjustments, however for the passenger you only have the bottom seat bolsters (if I'm not mistaken, rarely sat there ) as for the latter, I'm not sure, but the performance seats aren't bad overall. they're fine, I've been using them for a year, driving for long journeys as well, and I fine them to be just as good
One more question, do the performance seats have the (electronic) thigh extension like the sports seats do? Thanks in advance
