It doesn't look like the night package to me as it still has the silver lip and diffuser.

There is no night package on this one, mate. Night package is black trim on front/rear bumper, and mirrors.

Gotcha - I thought it was black window trim? Maybe I'm confusing it with what shadowline used to be on BMW?

You're wrong and right lol. Generally, the black window trim would be one of the first things to look for in a night package. However, I believe the black window trim was made standard on this model (not sure if it's the same for prior year's models). As others have mentioned, the night package now includes the front lip, rear diffuser, and exhaust tips.

Thanks for the nice comments everyone. Just to clarify again, this isn't the night package.

I was wondering if you guys can educate me a little bit more about the dynamic select settings and what each one of them does for the car. This is my first performance car, so I basically have no clue.

Also yesterday I did try the sports+ mode for a little bit. After using it for 5 minutes, I did smell a burning plastic smell from the rear of the car for some reason. Any idea guys?

Was your car ordered in or is it a dealer located car?

I have one on order for February delivery with Dark Ash trim but understood the wood trim was on hold.

Just hoping the "hold" is over.

ps; sorry no idea on plastic smell. Probably it's a "new car" related thing... but if it persists, would have your dealer look into it.

It was ordered in. I changed to the ash wood half way and they were able to get it for me. My sales person was amazing so I guess that is what happened there.

The burning smell is normal. After driving mine around in sports+, it reminded my friend of his CLS63 AMG (same smell). I remember reading that it is the "paint" on the underside of your car which is curing due to the high heat of the mufflers. This causes it to give off that weird smell.

Guys I will really appreciate if you can explain the driving modes to me a bit. What does each one of them do? Well I can feel the changes, but I have no idea what is happening in the background. For example what is the difference between Sport and Sport + mode?

I don't want to give out the wrong information, so I recommend going through your owners manual. I do know that each mode has a different throttle response, and each mode tends to hold gears longer than the prior mode (Eco -> comfort -> sport -> sport+). The car becomes a lot more lively in S+, even when compared to sports mode. Anything else you'd like to know?

The black ash wood is now available to Canadian builds... my dealer was finally able to add it to my build yesterday ( Dec 19 ) that goes into production February 1st... he has been trying to add it since I purchased over a month ago, was finally accepted.
