Test drove a couple cars that did not have performance exhaust and bought one that does have it. It is much louder with the performance exhaust "activated." Sport+ especially seems to do some extra voodoo with the noise in addition to adding in pops and crackles on downshifts.

I just did my resonator and muffler delete!! IT SOUNDS AMAZING, WILL BE MAKING A VIDEO ON MY CHANNEL AND I WILL UPDATE YOU GUYS WHEN ITS UP!

be easy with this route. It will only lead to a never-ending search for the best exhaust. A few guys did this to their c450s. The typical consensus was too much drone.
Enter AWE with a true dual design and optional mufflers. Great price point but no control.
Enter GThaus with an expensive cost of entry for a similar to stock design with remote control mufflers.
Enter Brabus which is just there to taunt everyone who is not an oil tycoon with a ridiculously earth shattering note.
Enter Armytrix building anticipation for a design that has already been done by GThaus.
I haven't even heard the new performance exhaust system in person but I can tell you for certain that Mercedes knew what they were doing.
Mr, I'm just waiting around for an AWE track that was too loud for someone to show up on eBay.

Personally it's not my cup of tea to have that exhaust sound 100% of the time.

My understanding is that the PE is a true dual exhaust from the headers all the way to the muffler vs. the photo earlier in the thread looks like it consolidates into a single pipe and becomes dual again. Not sure if that would make any difference...

Car sounds sweet. I'm all for enjoying the car and pushing on it. But not on a busy residential street. Not cool. Be smarter and take it somewhere safe.
