Resonator and Muffler delete C43 AMG (SOUNDS SEXY!!!)

I am bringing this back because I spent most of last night researching (drinking Gran Marnier and watching Boo! Madea Halloween) different drone killing options. I found a whole trove of info about Helmholtz resonators, which led me into 1/4 wave resonators/side branch resonator/J-pipe resonators. This has been the solution to kill drone at a certain RPM (highway speed) for a lot of different cars. Apparently the LS-1 guys have been using a setup like this on everything from GTOs to Camaros (v6 and v8) in addition to aftermarket muffler, Infiniti and Z car owners have been using this reso with strait pipes, turbo Miata guys use them, and even at e500 owner on this board did a write up https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w...acle-pipe.html.
I'm sorry that I'm coming to the table with only an idea with no engineering or calculations done yet, but I will be pursuing this option. I want my car to be LOUD all the time, but without that wha wha at 60-70 mph on the highway. Basically, the length of the J pipe determines what RPM the drone will be killed.
The turns don't seem to matter as long as they are mandrel bent. There is plenty of room out back once the mufflers are removed. Now doesnt anyone know of a competent muffler shop in the JFK area?

Muffler delete
did your check engine light come on when you deleted the mufflers ? And what gives the car a better sound deleting mufflers or getting an exhaust maybe the awe exhaust?

Mike, personally i did the muffler delete and resonator delete. I loved it but since i am getting downpipes i put my mufflers back on. Car would have been too loud to daily. If you are interested in the muffler delete (its mandrel bent) i would let it go for 250 shipped anywhere in the U.S. Full exhaust is great but it is very pricey. Mufller delete is a great alternative if you want that extra sound. Just pm if interested if not, got to do some searching on which would work best for your personal taste.

Anyone looked into bypassing the muffler instead of removing/straightpiping it ?
What I mean is basically cutting open the muffler (from the side that's not showing underneath the car), connecting a pipe with matching diameter from the inlet to the outlet of the muffler, effectively straight pipe but retaining the look of having a muffler (esp useful for those who lease their cars).
It's a pretty popular mod with some of the other car communities (e9x m3, z4, s2k, etc) that I used to visit.
Was curious if anyone has looked into this route and if it's as easy with the C43/C450 muffler.

Not sure if I had answered your question, I have conversations normally on bluetooth with no sound distruption with my resonator and exhaust delete. I'm very surprised as well.

That is surprising. Sometime on the highway I find it difficult to hear a bluetooth conversation when I tip in the throttle a bit with my stock setup. Did you find a way to keep your car? I know you were trying to get off it a while back.

Sound is subjective... and I'm an outlier, it's not my cup o'tea.
I prefer the ability to switch on and off the exhaust sound, and so the factory tuned PE sound would be and is my choice.
Now had I purchased my C43 without PE like the OP did, then this exhaust hack might make sense to have a car with a more performance oriented sound, and save a few bucks.

I'm new here and just got an 2018 c43 2 months ago. I was wondering what the best way to make the exhaust sound better/louder on a AMG performance exhaust and stay legal. I was thinking about doing a resonator delete but not sure about the drones? Any ideas?
