Has anyone installed Paddle Extenders such as these?... Thoughts?

Never used those. I think they look kind of cheap. Are you paddle shifting a lot? The only purpose I can really see these serving is if I want more surface area for the paddles to help me shift gears during an actual sharp turn. That being said, even in a manual - if you're turning enough that you need both hands on the wheel, you're probably not changing gears. I'd say avoid these.

Yes, I'm coming off of 30 years of manual transmission cars, so I drive in manual mode 100% of the time. I agree, these look kind of cheap, but I've seen high quality sets from Brabus, but at a much higher price.

At 40 bucks - it's worth buying a set to try them out. 30 years of manual coming in to an auto - I hope this car can match the driver engagement you feel in a manual!

Personally, I think these look pretty slick. when your hands are closer to 10 and 2 than 9 and 3, I could see where it'd be handy to have a "taller" paddle to grip.

My question would be as to how well they'd stay on...are they just a snap on part? So if I pulled too hard on the top of the shifter extension, would the bottom lip come off?

I could see how these might benefit if the paddles were column-mounted instead of wheel-mounted, but there shouldn't be a need for a bigger paddles if your hands are at 9&3 like they should be when driving hard. I guess they make for a bigger target when searching for them during tight turns (hands moving positions on the wheel), but even then you shouldn't be needing to shift at that time anyway.

Seems more like an aesthetic mod, not a performance mod.

This is true, I don't anticipate shifting much during the turns, but maybe when you're whippin U's around town and wanna get up on it

Yes,I think they do look good, but are aesthetic 75-80%, and only 20% functionality. To the OP's stance though...it's a convenience factor and ultimately aren't going to inhibit one from shifting as per usual either...no downside to them if the OP likes the look

You shouldn't be getting back on the throttle with any sort of urgency until the steering wheel is straight(ish) anyway, especially in a U-turn/low speed corner.

I had a set on my custom steering wheel in my Audi and I really liked having extension. Nexon motors did them and the wheel.

You're overanalyzing my post, which was simply some light-hearted commentary.

They look really cheap IMO.

I was considering these Brabus paddles the look nice and OEM quailty if not better.

Just need to make sure they fit!

Nothing will beat the driver engagement of a manual car... that's one of a kind.

I'd appreciate some extenders. Not really needed sure, but these OEM paddles are so tiny it would be nice to have something bigger to locate in certain turning scenarios.

Nice! B7? Any cool mods like a JHM supercharger perhaps?

Tis true

Miss banging gears with my own hand but I do appreciate the efficiency of how well these "speed shift" trannys work. And being able to downshift into 1st gear is pretty cool. I almost never have to use my brakes in this thing.
