Hey Guys,

Just got my VTA adapters from Wesitec and i plan on installing this myself with help of a friend. Once i have it installed i will take some videos. But before i install does anyone have any friendly advice who has installed these VTA adapters already? How hard is it? Any special tools required?. From what i have searched everyone says it takes about 10 mins but those have been on the 300 motors and 63. Havent really seen any for the 400/450/43. Any help is really appreciated.

One is easy, one is extremely difficult. There's a thread somewhere explaining the hassle of the second adapter locale. Search and ye shall find...

The adapter on the passenger side of vehicle is ridiculously hard to install. You will have to remove hoses, connections and wires for the coolant bottle and lift up and move coolant bottle out of way. The bov adaptor is hidden under the turbo inlet so most of the work is done blind and you will need a long torx bit to reach it. Took me about 5 hrs to install. The instructions found online are awful.

Bro I found out for myself. Driver side is clearly easier but the passenger side what a pita. Didn't even bother. Going to let my mechanic do it for me.

I'm planing to buy these VTA Adapter from Weistec, I wanted to know what is exactly the benefits of these valves, is it increasing the power of the engine, or it is just modifying the sound ?
I've a C400. But I understood that passenger side is difficult, any steps are provided ?
