Oil change interval
So I called my Mercedes-Benz dealership today because I thought it was time for my first oil change. My C43 has 8000 km (~5000 miles) and they told me that Mercedes vehicles are built to have service done only once a year, thus I don't need to have the oil changed until Service A at 20 000km (~12 500 miles). I find 20 000km to be quite high since other manufacturers usually recommend 5000-8000 km between each oil change.
What do you guys think, should I just stop worrying about it and just wait for Service A or actually get it done ?
Thanks guys

Well, MB is certainly not going to turn you away if you want to have your oil changed, and will happy take your money! Most here follow the recommended service interval laid out by MB, whether it's by visiting they're local dealer, or by performing the oil change themselves.

Edit: Don’t Sweat it. It is only the C63 that needs a change at about 1,500 because particulates from break-in build up. Dealer offered this service to me free. I will advise when it is done.
It could be massive organization wide confusion at dealer with the C63 which DEFINATELY requires this type of early service, but we will see. Edit: [It was. Only C63 gets the flush]. Intake guy at dealer didn’t know difference between C43 and C63.

Really conflicting information about this.

I would call around some AMG dealers and see what they say. My guess is it really doesn’t need it, but maybe dealer is confused or overkilling it to get my service business. I’ll know shortly. Its a HUGE high volume metro area AMG performance center dealership though.

So I just got the car back and they didn’t do anything with the fluids there’s no need for a flush after only 1500 miles for 2000 miles or whatever that’s the C 63 AMG they were confused when they took the car for me.
First Service A is at 10,000 miles.

That doesn't make sense if you ask me. Is the 63 engine built with some type of high tech metal like krypton or something? Either all MB's need and early oil change or none of them do, or perhaps it's just something to make 63 owners feel good.

There are 50 threads about this!!! Search and read!
C43 engine is built on a line and "broken in" at the factory to an extent that the first interval you guys are taking about is not necessary - hence 10k mile as written in the book. C63 doesn't get the same pre-treatment so to speak so they have an early break in service.
