Auto turn-off, no auto restart

Driving in town this past weekend, I came to a complete stop and the car turns off by design; when I took my foot off the brake, it did not automatically restart.

I manually restarted the car, and everything was fine. No codes.

Has anyone else experienced this?

That does not sound safe. I would report it to the dealership and have them take a look at it.

Had you pressed down hard enough on the brake to trigger the "HOLD" feature?

Even if he did it should turn the car back on and release the brakes (i've tested this in my c43) as soon as he hits the gas.

Pretty sure there is a software update to address that on the biturbo v6 cars. Take it to your dealer.

He didn't say he hit the gas.

I did press the gas to initiate restart. I don't recall engaging the HOLD, but that should not effect a restart.

i found a document stating PDI was preformed late January. It's possible there is a software update that my car missed.

thanks for you concern and advise.

i had my wife next to me, had to convince her this was still a good purchase.
