17' C43 Sedan
And the wait begins

Lease on the CLS is up and got a C43 to replace it. Car is out of state so just waiting for transport time.

The C43 is spec'd as such

Black on Black leather
Black Ash wood
Night Pkg
Park Asst Pkg
Rear sunshade
Illum door sills
pano roof
parktronic with active park assist
red seatbelts
wheel lock nuts
heated seats
19" multi wheels with black accents
P4 pkg

I'm wondering if build quality is noticeably lesser than the CLS, but the '43 has way more equipment.

well i can tell you that they lease horribly compare to other cars I have leased in the past.

MSRP 65,715
Discount to $60,650 or 8% off
39/12k
$724 mo or $775 with tax

Is this good or bad?

It's a pretty good deal. Getting 8% discount is fantastic!

I wouldn't say it a bad deal...could be better.

For a well equipped 2018 C43, I would have demanded at least 10% off MSRP. Did they throw in at least 2 years of free maintenance?

I wouldn't settle for anything less than 17% off...I would also have at least 3 years of free service

I don't know if that's a realistic discount, but if you are shopping for deals on coupes, you can get a Corvette for almost 18% off sticker or an Alfa 4c for 17% under sticker. Those are as advertised on Cars.com

You should really add the AMG Performance Exhaust. I would get rid of some of the other stuff just to have this if need be .

Although I agree that a 17% discount off MSRP on an ordered new run 2018 C43 would be next to impossible to get (let alone free maintenance for 3 years as well ), I did get 16.2% off my year-end 2016 C450 purchase (from the lot), including specials & fleet discount. No free maintenance.

Well apparently my deal making skills are as good as Donald Trump because I made the impossible possible!

This is more realistic to get 16.2% off a year end model, but not a chance on a factory ordered 2018!

A better metaphor of a very successful business man would have been Jeff Bezos. Trump is car salesman in comparison, definitely NOT a visionary like Bezos or Musk.

Personally I usually wait until late in the model year when I buy a new car, historically I've got my best deals ordering in early March. I was quite surprised the dealership I bought my C450 from actually had one on the lot that had just about every option I wanted, including first color choice!

They must have eaten your lunch for your trade in. I've got to know what they gave you for your months old c450 when you made that deal.
