Debating on getting new wheels/tires and trying to sell old ones or running spacers for now on the factory 18" run flats, and replacing when I need new tires. Option 2 would allow me to just transfer over the TPMS sensors once the old tires need replacing vs having to buy new ones for the new wheels/tires. The car has around 4,000 miles now so part of the decision is how long the existing tires would last. I appreciate any feedback someone can share!

My factory Continental Contisport tires lasted maybe 9,000 miles before they were were down to the wear bars. I will never buy them again.

I am not an expert on tires but I've heard many complaints about runflats not lasting particularly long.

My Pirellis lasted about 10k before I had to replace them... switched them out for PSS and it's basically a different car.

The P-Zeros are the worst tires I have ever owned. Wore fast and unevenly. I don't even know how many the dealer replaced. But the running life on them is anywhere from 8k -15k tops.

I'm at 8400mi and they look nearly as fresh as when I drove it off the lot. Though as others have said, the ride is awful, so I can't want for them to shred them away.

Thanks for all for sharing your experiences. I've decided to run the factory wheels/tires on spacers until next summer, when i'll replace with an aftermarket setup. Hopefully by then the tires will need replacing anyway and I can justify pulling out the TPMS for an aftermarket setup. Don't feel like spending $150 on new TPMS when the car will never see snow (so no need for winter wheels).

I replaced the P-Zero run flats after about 8k miles. The rears had plenty of tread left but the fronts were already in the red. I probably could have gone a little longer on them but didn't want to risk it.

Replaced with A/S 3+ and it's a smoother/quieter drive.

same story except I switched them at 7K miles

Really happy with the A/S 3+.

That seems to be very similar to what others are reporting here.

The fronts wore FAST, but rears seemed to have nearly twice the lifespan.

Now, I'm on new, wider tires (Hankook V12 Evo 2's and the fronts do not even remotely have the same pattern of wear.

8000 miles on my pirelli p zero and the fronts are close but not there yet. The rears are a lot better however. I'm going to swap them and garage these for lease return.
