Be careful because race gas is designed for off road track use, a lot of the time it is leaded instead of unleaded to accommodate Hi po, high compression race engine designs from the late 60's

In the nyc metro area we are stuck with 10%. Alcohol is for drinking, NOT driving.....Closest full gas stations are in New Paltz NY, Stewarts, Premium.... and not dutchess county, Ulster only

You have to figure out what's the best around your area, around me Shell and Sunoco are the best. While there is a Costco around me and I often use it, my evo knocks with it, but not with Shell or Sunoco. If I'm planning to go to the track, I avoid Costco.
Another thing to avoid, don't ever top your car with a couple of gallons, especially from a pump that uses a single hose for all the octanes. One time I was heading to the dyno to get the evo tuned. On the way there, I noticed I was low on gas and decided to top it with a "couple of 93 gallons". At the dyno, the car was knocking like crazy on the base tune. The tuner asked me what kind of gas I had in it, when I told that I topped it on the way, he advised me to never do that. Basically, when you use the single hose, you're getting around ~ a gallon ~ of whatever the guy before you used and there is a good chance it was 87 octane.

I put pure race gas in my car, the entire tank. It’s not my daily but I fill it up without blending it. 100 octane unleaded at a local gas station. It’s takes about $150 for the tank. Car is tuned with catless dp’s.
