Oil Additives?
At any rate has any one used any oil additives yet?
I am thinking of putting Ceratec from Liqui Moly in my car at the next oil change- they are a sponsor here and a pretty well regarded company from Germany.
Ceratec is supposed to put a thin ceramic coating on all of your engine parts for better protection, cooler running, less friction and more HP.
Any thoughts on this?

Loved it.
How much oil do our cars take tho?

People try oil additives and don't see any results, that is because the engine must be very clean for the oil additives to take effect. Putting a friction reducer in an engine that has even minor sludge, will not work as expected, the pistons and other metal parts must be as close to bare metal as possible. My suggestion at the very least, is to use a good engine flush before your oil change like Amsoil Engine flush and then use the 1.5 bottles of Ceratec with the new oil.
I have 6400mi on my C43 at this point and will be putting in an engine flush product called Auto Rx at 7000mi and leaving it in to do its thing until 10k mi for my first oil change, then add the Ceratec. I have used Auto Rx for many years on many different cars and it works very good. Once you use Auto Rx once, you won't need to use it again for at least 60k mi or you can opt to add 2oz per oil change, which will stop sludge build up and never have to flush the engine again.
Before finding Ceratec I used Z-Max after Auto Rx and it works awesome on a clean, sludge, free motor, but you need to use it at every oil change, so its like an extra $40- also Ceratec is a ceramic coating which sounds pretty cool.
