Painted wheels?
Hey guys...good to meet you all. I’m new to the forum and new to Mercedes, just having picked up my 2018 C43 Sedan a few weeks back. Love it so far...especially in Sport+ mode .
I do want to make some changes cosmetically and wanted to see if anyone else has made this first change so I can have a look-see before moving forward. I wanted black wheels however, only liked the multi-spoke design which have a machined finish. I ordered gloss black center center caps and plan to get the entire wheel refinished in gloss black. Has anyone else done this with these wheels?

I'm in the same boat. My black C43 has the gray multi-spoke wheels, but I really wanted the bi-color Split ones.
Wanted this:
Got this:
Thinking of painting the wheels black, or bi-color. How hard would that be?

Any good wheel maker can do this pretty easily. I just had my summers re done clear/gloss black. About $600 for all 4. They were a completely different color before this.

Check out what they did with this year AMG studio package wheels.
I prefer gloss black to these, but maybe they can mimic this look in gloss for you.

Yes, these wheels would have done it (I agree with you on the gloss black). I like how the outside edge is still a machined finish however, that style of wheel has a small lip whereas mine doesn’t, which I think would present a challenge to the shop refinishing?

No lip at all, the whole thing gets painted and then they just machine off the rim with the lathe. Find someone whole knows doing machined faces and you can get what you want accomplished.

That’s great information brother, thank you! The shop I am taking them to is a wheel refinish specialty shop and has a great reputation locally thus, I will show them the pic and let them have a go at it! Stay tuned for pics...will be doing this in the week between Xmas and New Years.
