How To Steal A New Mercedes Without A FOB...

Has anyone seen this story yet how thieves in the UK stole this new C Class in less than 75 seconds using relay boxes?

http://www.cnn.com/videos/world/2017...g-trnd-lab.cnn

Looks like I'll be keeping my FOBs in my safe when I go on trips for now on!

I know this is very recent news. But the new Mercedes models have been getting stolen using this method for 2 years now. One of my friend's CLA45 got stolen in the exact same way. It was in Yorkdale Mall in Toronto and multiple cameras caught it. I guess it was never released to the public because it might have been Yorkdale's property and they didn't want to publish that footage. Because this footage was caught on personal security camera, the video was released.

Just so you guys know, the solution to this very EASY! Just press the lock button on the keyfob twice, you will see the red light come on and stay on for 5 seconds then it goes off. What you just did is turn off the remote and now it is not giving out any signals. Try going to your car and see if you can open the door. It would not open.

Reading the manual of your car sometimes pays dividends.

there’s a scene where they “sniff” the garage code when the home owner opens the garage to get inside. Granted they have rolling codes for garages and it’s just a movie but still :P

There's too many self-Indulgent wieners in this city with slightly above bloody average money! Now, if I was driving a 2018 AMG GT-R twin turbo 4 Liter...."

Ahhh man. It is Nick Cage doing what Nick Cage does best... weird.
My favorite part I couldn't find a gif of.
