2018 C43 Coupe
Questions about black emblems
Hey everyone,
So my 2018 C43 is white with the night package and studio package. Everything is blacked out besides the wings in the front grille, two door handles (coupe), the C43, AMG and star emblems on the trunk. I'm most likely going to have a shop vinyl wrap the wings in the grille and door handles, but since the emblems are so small I've been looking for ones online that are sold as OEM as possible. I do not want to use plasti dip at all. I know some have had them painted, but these look like good quality.

Now, the one problem I see that I'm not sure about is the star. On the coupe the star is actually a cover for the backup camera. (It is on a electronic hinge system and opens up to reveal the camera when backing up or in 360 mode). Under the description its only listing that its compatible with the sedan. I'm not sure if the sedan has the same system as the coupe.
Sorry for the long post just trying to get the best possible product and not cheap out. If anyone has found some good emblems online or can provide me with any additional insight as to what the best method is to do this please let me know.

The sedan is easy. Like you said the problem with the coupe is the rear camera. There’s a post around here somewhere that shows how to remove the entire flip up piece and then the star can be carefully removed, repainted, and replaced. I don’t know of anyone selling a black star compatible with the coupe though so painting may be your only option.
