New 2017 C43 Discount?
Long time lurker here. I found a new 2017 left over C43 and I'm wondering what a reasonable percentage off offer to make on it should be. The sticker is 61K, the dealer is asking $55,500
Thanks in advance!

Would help you if provided the dealers sticker and/or asking price and options. With that said, considering the '19s were just announced, I would imagine you could get a great deal if you're ready to finalize the deal on the spot.

I would say no deal. I just bought a new 2018 C43 with MSRP 64k and got it down to 57k. I would say keep negotiating, it's a year old so your depreciation will be greater the second you roll off the lot than someone who got a 2018.

Also, the 2019 was just announced with 390 hp, from 367 in 2017-2018 and other small cosmetic changes, including a nice update to exhaust/diffuser area. Hope this gives you more ammo to get better deal.

2018 C43 AMG Brilliant Blue Metallic
No deal I bought my 2018 C43 with 62000 sticker for 52000 in November.
When you factor in your car is 17 and the 19 was just announced imo you need a deeper discount

Personally, I wouldn't pay more than $51k all things considered (year, 2019 refresh announcement, etc). If you really want the car, I would pitch them the offer. If they decline, politely call back every 2-3 days with the same offer until they bite or someone else buys it. DO NOT buy impulsively! Patience is your friend.

dealers will not just give 16% off lol. You must have fleet discount, possible the mercedes employee discount at 12.5%.
Most dealers will only give you around 5-8% at best out of thier pockets.
on a 17 model i would agree that the discount needs to be extrememly deep because the minute you drive off the lot its gunna be worth like 45k maybe upwards of 50k at most.

The other thing to find out is if they have already punched the warranty and started the in service date. Many dealers do this on old stock, and so it may no longer have a full 4 year/50,000 mile warranty. Just something to be mindful of when negotiating, or it may factor into whether you want to purchase and extended warranty for which you should seek a healthy discount. We bought an extended warranty for our C43 at another dealer because they were offering a much better deal on the extended warranty than my local dealer.
