BMS JB4 Interest Poll
Putting together a poll to gauge interest in JB4 development from Burger Motorsports. Current JB1 version from them is getting some of the fastest times & gains as a piggy back, even compared to full flash tunes. Terry at BMS has stated in the N54 forums that future improvements/updates to JB4 are not impossible, but they're not seeing the demand, and thus, there are no current plans. Keep in mind, their focus has historically been on BMW models, so I don't think he has the time or visibility to the demand that we're seeing here in the forums.
The current JB1 runs $479, plus $35 for data cable, or plus $140 for the bluetooth module. JB4 models for BMW run $479 to $799 for M cars. Ultimate goal here is to have a single feed of interested buyers to hopefully push development to the tipping point. Once we get a good gauge of the number of interested buyers, hopefully we can make something happen!

This would be great for our community. Unfortunately, I think Terry is right about the lack of demand. 5 people on mbworld wanting one wouldn’t justify development. I think in 2-3 more years, our platform will become more of a tuner platform with FBO options.

Definitely count me in. Threefirs, I think the demand for the Jb1 is low considering that it does not give you the gains of a full tune. With a Jb4 you can match or better a full tune. I am sure if Terry develops it, there would 100 percent a big demand for it.

Totally agree on all counts. There are just too many spread out threads floating around mentioning "this or that" about interest related to interest in their offerings. More so here obviously, but there are a handful spread out on the N54 forums too. I recognize a few names from over there from here, but still, the goal is to have a centralized post with everyone that's interested.

threefirs don’t want them to develop one he already got tuned, and imagine if someone with JB4 start wooping on tunes. He be mad af. Lol jk 😂

I couldnt have waited for the market to develop. Bought a full tune before JB1 was being spoken of - no regrets though as it’s deveoped nicely.
Just trying to be realistic vs the BMW demand for a product like this. Most people I find are tire kickers when it comes to tunes here - 1 million questions and no purchasing..

I think some people are misunderstanding what the JB4 is, or perhaps I myself have misunderstood.
The JB4 isnt necessarily a different tune or a more aggressive tune than the JB1. The JB4 is an add-on module with more features than the JB1, like built in bluetooth and integration of the piggyback features that can be accessed through the cars builtin infotainment/steering wheel buttons. Right?
Like changing maps on the fly with your volume buttons on the steering wheel?

Have it on my 335I and would love to have it on my E43. Jb4 combined with a flash tune is awesome. But we also need a handheld flasher for these 43 ecu's. Let the flash take care of fuel and timing and the JB4 takes care of boost control. Have the ability to log and change maps on the fly with the steering wheel buttons.

This lot here should be a good start.
Considering that there’s a C/GLC/E 43 at every street corner now, there’s a decent market to introduce the JB4 as the new go-to for MB owners.
