2018 C43 purchase price - a good deal?

Good morning everyone, brand new to the forum. I have been lurking around this forum for a few weeks as I have been interested in purchasing a 2018 C43 as my lease on my 3 series is coming up. I wanted to get peoples thoughts on the offer I am getting for an off-the-lot C43, shipped from another dealer. C43W4 $53,400

992 Selenite Grey Metallic $720
268 Crystal Grey Leather $1,620
H84 AMG Silver Fiberglass Trim $975
R01 Summer High-Performance Tires
068 Wheel Locking Bolts $150
15A LED Logo Projectors $200
255 AMG Track Pace App $150
281 AMG Performance Steering Wheel in Nappa/DINAMICA $500
313 Manual Rear-Side Window Sunshades $380
319 319 Advanced Lighting Package: Active LED Headlamps, Adaptive Highbe $1,900320 320 Multimedia Package: COMAND® Navigation including Map Updates for $2,200413 Panorama Roof $1,000
463 Head-Up Display $990605 19-Inch AMG Multi-Spoke Wheels $850
810 Burmester® Surround Sound System $850873 Heated Front Seats 99B Steering Code 996 996 Advanced Parking Assist Package: PARKTRONIC w/ Active Parking $1,090997 997 Driver Assistance Package: Active Blind Spot Assist, DISTRONIC $2,250
SUBTOTAL $69,225
DESTINATION & DELIVERY $995
TOTAL $70,220
MB offer price: $61,500 (12.5% off)

Thoughts? I am not sure I can do better than this. I have been holding strong at $60,000 (14.5%) but I don’t think they will bend any more than they are.

This. I had to read it a couple times to make sure I did not miss the exhaust. No deal.

Also, if you have not seen the grey leather on silver trim in person, find a way. It is not for everyone, and I would caution resale down the road.

Every deal is subjective, so it depends on what you like and are willing to pay. If you like it at 60k, hold firm. If not, walk. My dealer found my near-perfect C43 in OH and shipped it in for me. They’re out there.

You don't want the performance exhaust unless you're a teenager who likes to drive up and down your street pissing off all your neighbors. Too loud and no performance increase for a lot of $. Go for it.

I was looking for an eye roll emoji. Again, it’s subjective, but you are in the vast minority if you share the opinion that the exhaust is a waste of money.

Turn it off to coast through your neighborhood. Turn it on to sing and dance with your friends in the mountains.

Actually the cars with performance exhaust happen to make a little more power 10-15whp I think.. some tuners have noticed this on there dynos.. not sure how true that is though

I appreciate everyone’s comments. The performance exhaust is something I will sacrifice for the selenite exterior, lighting package, and heads up display. If I really wanted the performance exhaust, I would be getting the c63, which is a beast. Thanks for the heads up about the crystal grey interior...I have seen it and like the two-tone look. I’m purchasing the car to keep for at least 10 years, if not longer.

Youll regret not getting the PE like everyone else. It’s an option in the C63 also, and arguably a better sounding exhaust at WOT.

You can wrap cars, but you will never be able to get the PE. Good luck.

Youre correct. PE cars have proven to make more power on the dyno. Sampled over several cars..

The PE is a must get, but (imo) mainly because it is so cheap. The sound is comparable to a good aftermarket but the option itself is only $1250.

The PE was a big part in why I chose the c43 vs competitors. There is no equivalent to that upshift backfire on command when you need it.

I'm glad I read about the PE on this forum before getting my C43. The car I was looking at buying didn't have it and after reading here I asked if I could try one out with the PE just for comparison. I bought that car 5 minutes later. I didn't think an exhaust could make the car that much better but boy was I wrong.

He's getting a very good discount, he can get AWE exhaust later if needed. PE is nothing special other than an ON/OFF button..

Honestly, the AWE is gonna run you $1,000.00 without unless you find a better deal out there. And even then, you would want the AWE touring edition exhaust if you want the sound. That's another $500.00... This is all based on self installation. If you have to have a shop install it, you're looking at even more moolah out of pocket.. AMG Performance Exhaust is $1,250.00 installed.

And as far as an ON/OFF button goes, how awesome is that? The ability to control that is awesome enough for me. If you are going for the true visceral experience, I'd go for the AMG Performance Exhaust, but obviously there are aftermarket options you could consider.

I would recommend driving one with it, then one without it. That's how you will really be able to decide.

Shoot me an email or pm if you have any further questions or concerns about pricing.

Hope this was a helpful point of view/opinion!

It amazes me how people comment on every opportunity how important the PE option is, yet some
people still take cars without it. Buy a C300

Find it hilarious how highly some of you guys regard the PE.

It's a v6 that revs to 6400 RPM. There is nothing special about the sound and just because PE is louder doesn't mean it's better. If your ego grows when you act like a bafoon around 12 year olds walking to school then you have much greater problems.

The backfires are programmed and not authentic. That's like getting a burble tune. But, to each their own. The best sound this car makes is partial throttle somewhere in the middle of the rev range. The upshift farts are hilariously stupid sounding and a terrible fad.

You disable the farts when the kids are walking to school and turn them on when 19 year old guy with muffler delete civic tries to pass you. Man this is not rocket science!

(Me car is being built today. So stoked!)

I love the PE. I probably wouldn’t have bought the car without it. I could’ve seen myself in a BMW

I was choosing between two C43s last month, posted my options here looking for suggestions, and someone said "neither one has PE, no deal"
I kept researching and found that most people want the PE, so I decided to keep looking until I found a car with the PE and bought it.
Now I can tell you, do not buy a C43 without PE, don't. PE is the best feature on this car, absolutely.
If you only get one option, it has to be PE. It really makes this little car a lot of fun, and no, I am not a teenager.

I don’t have the PE. Big mistake! I think the sound creates such a better experience. Just my opinion.
