Replacement Grille Emblem?

Just had my first minor accident with 2018 AMG C43, Polar White. Chunk of plywood flew up from under a bus and put a deep scratch in the front of the car. Along with this, the grille emblem (Mercedes symbol at front of car in grill) came off the car and flew out into the highway.

Does anyone know where I might order this part online, and also if there are any particular codes that denote it's the right piece for a 2018 C43. There's one on "Partsgeek" and it costs $170-plus .. but not sure if it is the right part since nothing is noted as being for a "C43 AMG."

Any help would be appreciated.

Call your dealer. You don't have to buy it from them but if you all the parts department, they will be able to give you the exact part number(s) for the star. It's a possibility probability that they don't offer the front star emblem on it's own only sell the entire grill as 1 piece (that's how they always get ya!), so if that is the case, ask them about compatibility with other models. For example, "If I were to look at some junkyards/online for a used grill assembly, or for the star by itself, which other models would have the same size star?"

I'd assume that all w205 grills use the same star, but I wouldn't know past that

The star is super easy to remove and refit, just grab firmly and rotate anti clockwise.

Simply find another Mercedes in your area and you're golden (I kid).

Thanks .. I'm sure you can purchase the star separate from the grill, though it's probably a few hundred bucks in itself. I'm just trying to find one that will fit. There are a lot of them out there for similar models but not so many for the C43 ..

My front star cracked had my dealer replace it. It was a $70 piece.

You can also try OEmercedesbenzparts I bought my OE air filters from there $27 dollars a piece and installed them myself. Dealer wanted $175 to replace them.

You enter your vin number and go part hunting!

Good luck and sorry for your accident. I bet it hurt!
