My SA didn't know if we were getting the dash anolog clock on the MY19s (C43) and said he won't be a to tell until the first one is delivered to the dealership. With everyone picking them up over the next couple of day (in Canada) can someone confirm it is there?

Does it depend on the trim you pick?

My SA isn't the most knowledgeable about the details, I had to inform him that that key fob was different on the 2019s.

Thanks

Yes the clock is dependent on trim. And he should know it with the specifications that you ordered with the car.

Thank you! By chance would that clock be included on trims that are extra price? I know the piano black was included in the base price but we opted for the ($250 cnd) open pore wood trim.

Open pore does include the analog clock. This is assuming you're MBCan. I'm not sure about MBUsa. Their packages are different.

Great news, we are in Canada. Thank you

Our SA is, dealership titled, "AMG specialist", but I guess he doesn't consider a C43 a true AMG (?) since he doesn't know much about it. Also had to tell him that the "RVD" rims were black when placing our order.

It sounds like you need a new SA. Unless he is giving you an amazing deal, ask for someone else. It’s his job to know this stuff.

RVD are the black Multi Spokes.
RSV are the 5 Twing Spoke Bi Color

Both of which can only be had with ADP.

In fairness to your SA the pic on the DOG doesnt seem like the RVD is black. But the description says its black.

I'm kinda miffed that I can't get the RSK 18in wheels on my C43 sedan w/night pkg. but someone ordering a C300 AMG line w/night pkg gets them. I really prefer the RSK over the RSJ, especially with the night pkg.

My AD said he hasn't seen any movement on his yet, but some were showing as wholesaled, i.e. on the trucks for delivery, yesterday.

Well that's progress of sorts. I'll call over to my SA later today to get my twice weekly update.

More like twice semi daily for me. 2x in the AM, 2x in the PM. Gotten to the point that I should wish him good morning and good night. Joking of course... kind of.

So here is some sort of not great news. I chatted with MBUSA via Live Chat on the website and asked about the status of C43 Sedans. The rep didn't have information but offered to check with the product managers and email me back. Overall, I was really impressed with the customer service. I was not pleased with the note I got back today though.

"Just an update, no changes yet on transport to the dealership. We were advised that the release for this model will be very soon. Once this happens the cars will begin to ship to the area dealerships and the dealership team will alert you when to expect your car."

So basically, sedans are not released and are not shipping. Oh well.

I think after they are produced at the 'Bama plant they are sent to various VPC's and await shipment to dealers from there. For the Northeast region I think the VPC is Baltimore.

I think you might be making some premature assumptions. My SA explained the process to me, in detail. The vehicle gets assembled and then awaits release at the VPC. The SAs use a Netatar Report to keep track. When a vehicle is in production or is built but not yet released, it’s status reads “INPROD”. Once the vehicle is released, the vehicle receives a “Wholesale date” on the report, the “INPROD” status is removed, and it receives a “DYS INV” status (days in inventory). The DYS INV status changes daily, starting with the date it begins being transported to the dealership until the vehicle is delivered to the customer. For example, my sedan was wholesaled on 11/25/18 and placed on a carrier from the VPC in Alabama for delivery to my dealership in CA. As of today, the Netatar report (my SA literally forwards me a copy each day) shows 5 “DYS INS”. My SA told me that the vehicle should arrive and be ready for delivery between 11-14 DYS INS.

So, sedans have been released. It looks like they’re shipping based on priority. First are coupes that have been sold. Then coupes not sold. Then sedans that are sold. Then sedans not sold.

The VPC in Baltimore is at the port for vehicles produced abroad. My SA says the VPC for the C43 Sedans from Alabama is in Alabama.

Add me to the list of people impatiently waiting.

I've got a good relationship with my dealer and they were willing to negotiate a pretty sweet deal with me on my ordered C43 sedan so I offered to sign docs last night as a gesture of appreciation so they could get the deal done by the end of the month. Now the hard part really begins. I've been told it's sitting in Baltimore waiting to be loaded on a truck.

My details -
Ext - Emerald Green Metallic
Int - designo Saddle Brown w/ AMG performance seats
Dark Brown Linden Wood trim
18" AMG five-spoke wheels
AMG performance exhaust
Heated/Ventilated seats
Panorama roof
Burmester stereo

Not sure that is correct as the screenshot of the netstar report of mine shows made in USA and sitting at Baltimore VPC.

I'm just going off of what my SA said. He said if it was in B-more, he would have sent his own trailers since its 30 minutes away. Maybe it depends on the production date or options? I say options because they may have to import some items for installation at port.

Actually, I don't think my car is in baltimore at all. I think it was built in Vance, AL and is at the VPC in Vance, AL.

I guess I was confused as I thought the SA had said a few times the car was coming just from Baltimore and would be delivered same day it was released.

Its a confusing process in general- when I speak with the SA versus the Manager, I get all sorts of conflicting information... one SA I spoke with said its coming from Germany! haha.
