There was a question about the Emerald Green in sunlight...since the clouds parted, I got this today. The car color shifts to black as you can see depending on angle, but directly ahead is metal flake. Cheers !

Such an awesome color. Wish they had had it available for the coupe!

Quick impressions:
Headlights are amazing. I've tacked lights onto most of my cars, but this one is better than any aftermarket lights I've ever seen. The shaped beams really work, and the automatic high/low beam is good...can get confused by street lights sometimes but overall you can leave it on and not blind oncoming drivers. Missed a deer today.
Driving under break in rules....the car is still quick with moderate throttle and 4500 rpm redline. Boost/torque comes right up. Transmission shifts quickly, faster than any manual. Smooth overall-a run on the NYS Thruway was quick...too quick, officer ....
Shocks definitely change by position-PE sounds nasty or calm...no idea if there's a power difference, see above. These items remain to be explored.
Bluetooth is excellent (I work in my car a lot). Nav as well, the electronics suite is better than top line BMW, and way better than CUE. Burmeister is good, speakers and my ears not broken in yet.
Carplay works, sound from carplay is better than audio bluetooth, but a wire always beats bluetooth.
Voice recognition is usable, unlike some other cars I've had.
Ambient Light is just fun.
Interior Light is very well thought out. You can turn it all the way down. I'm very pleased that, as someone who drives a lot on unlit, curvy roads, that the dash lights go very low, the screen shuts off, for minimal visual interference in the near field. Well Done !!!
Seats are excellent-car is quiet at speed, save some runflat rumble-but to be fair nothing is buffed in yet, and It will probably be Mich AS4 for me when they wear out.
The chassis is stiff. My baseline is my e46 with MSport suspension so I'm spoiled, but this is close...very close...and adds AWD and a LOT more power. The AWD makes the car even more stable when you apply power.
Car was totally worth the wait. A stiff sports sedan than won't beat you up in traffic but can be turned up to "11" when you want it. I'm smelling supercar git up and go once things loosen up.

I have no idea how they do it. In dim light, it looks pretty much black. If you view it through polarized glasses, it looks black as well. The green comes out with light but even there it shifts back to black. While there are red and blue sparkles in the paint base, it does not otherwise color shift-green to black only. Paint science is amazing, and I'm sure that this is the result of someone at MB pushing what can be done with an assembly line paint job....kudos.

May 16th for me. Sunday’s 7 month anniversary was an emotional day.

Not to continue with the galloping or weird car stuff happening in that remote lot, but I definitely hope our cars had a connection- so connected that they both are going to be shipped out tomorrow! But I’m not holding my breath for mine. Really happy for you.

I'm going to write up my long-term test results on the 2019 Camry SE for Car and Driver. In all seriousness, my dealership has been going to bat for me. They took some more money out of the price of the car and got me the rental out of their pocket.

Happy to hear that some dealerships are treating their customers right. I feel like they are not doing anything extra for me because I worked out such a good deal for myself, that they have been super salty. But I really hope its here before the new year, would love it before christmas.

What's the break in period? 1k miles and keep it low-ish revs?
I was going to make changes to my order but my rep said the order was locked and sealed and if i wanted to make changes she'd have to place another order which would be 4 to 5mos out for delivery! Seems like MB are keeping allocations tight for the US!
