I have no doubt that it will be worth it. I've been pretty patient up to this point as I understand that logistics can be complicated. Right now, I'm just frustrated with the lack of information. The status of my car has been "released to carrier" for two weeks. Then the story that we heard on Friday was that my car was moved to the offsite lot, but not documented. They allegedly "found" the car last week, but still no progress on transportation. It's been through the VPC and the window sticker has been generated, but it has not moved. I can handle long waits, as long as I have some information on an ETA. Right now, the GM and regional rep are trying to get more information out of the transporter.

I've been a BMW driver since a 2000 E46 ZHP and had they just made the new models less like a lexus in the rear and more like a BMW in style, I may had ordered one of those. Family planning has limited me to a sedan or gran coupe, or I would have gone the M2 route.

I just got an update. The GM was able to reach the transporter. My car is being loaded on truck on Friday which means it should be in Chicago next week. However, with Christmas falling on Tuesday, who know when it will actually arrive and when I'll be able to pick it up. Oh well.

In the same boat. Although, I think mine still has to go back to the VPC for the update, but as you are also experiencing, there are no answers! What else is frustrating is canceling and reordering has delay implications for certain options, as well as we are looking at another 2 months.

If not for married life and plans to have a baby next year, I would have ordered an M2 with manual. But I'm really glad I got this car. During my limited time with the car, it's been a joy and almost makes me forget that I don't have a third pedal. In terms of steering feel, I actually prefer the C43 compared to the M2 that my buddy uses as a daily driver.

Hang in there! I'm sure they'll get this resolved, and I'm looking forward to your delivery pics/posts.

That's fitting with the sweet car. Milton [Hershey] would likely approve. He may have gotten a chocolate interior though.
Awesome to hear! My current car, 328xi really is lacking with the road feel. The ultimate driving machine is now designed to be the ultimate everyday driver. The M2 with manual is the closest thing to what they used to be.

Thanks! Cost me around $1200 for all four calipers. My dealership body shop wasn’t equipped to do them since there was a particular baking process to do, they had a third party specialist do them.

The MB dealership arrange everything prior to delivery. The dealership body shop wasn’t equipped to do the specific baking process, so they outsourced the job to a specialist.

My new pen...
So this is pretty funny. My wife feels bad that my C43 is taking so long to get here so she bought me something to fill the void. It's an AMG pen that makes the exhaust noise when you push the button. She's a keeper. The video below isn't mine. I stole it from YouTube.

So funny story. My wife and I test drove a C43 before I ordered it in August. We go out on the drive and she says something along the lines of this car being in our price range as long as we don't get anything crazy like the burmeister or the performance exhaust. There's silence from our SA and me. She hates talking numbers so I told her I'd meet her at the market next door after I had a chance to talk some numbers and place an order. We watch her drive away and the SA instantly turns to me as soon as her tires leave the lot and says "So you want the performance exhaust, right?" We were on the same page.

Throw the 4 doors on the thing for a “family baby seat friendly” vehicle and she was good to go.

Hahaha. Exactly! I had a similar discussion, but the very next day we saw a C63 and the guy was having a good time. She said that it made the C43 PE sound more subdued and that within that context, she was okay with it.

I don't think that's really reliable. My car showed up in inventory on my dealer's website over three weeks ago with the banners "coming soon" and "in-transit." It has since come off and my car is still in the offsite lot as far as I can tell.

Man that blows. I got excited that it said "inventory"

Short rant: Summary- No communication. Customer Services says 4 to 6 weeks from current status. Disney World tracks parking spots better than Mercedes tracks cars.
I think they are just so behind that the statuses are wrong. My SA asked the regional and their contact at the VPC for an update and they gave the same "remote lot" response, but said they'd reply with something more specific. They have yet to get back to him.
I called the customer service line to basically say how frustrating this process is as a 1st time Mercedes customer and how its ridiculous that the dealer has the same frustration due to lack of communication. The customer service rep looked up my car and compared the timing of it's current status to ones that have been delivered and told me it looks like it will take 4 to 6 weeks from my current status to be released. My PFC Set status hit on November 23rd. So probably the 1st week of January.
I have managed many projects and I get that they are trying to do this as quickly as possible, but give us realistic deadlines. They have a project plan. I mean, ****- Disney World can tell me within 1 row of car where I parked if I forget where I left my rental in a sea of white rentals! If it's going to be January, tell me... better yet, tell my SA so I don't bug the hell out of them and get my hopes up when they give the "Hopefully this week or early next" comment that I've gotten since October.

Probably the same number: 1 (800) 367-6372. Also got this from google. It took me a bit of complaining for this guy to look the car up. All they need is the last 6 of the VIN. What I thought was funny is he's worked for the company for 20 some years and said he has 0 way to contact the VPC or Alabama's plant. I said, you mean its against policy for Customer Service to contact them. "Yes, I'd also be on the phone for hours with them because someone would post on the Forum what I did..."
