Anyone ever have their C43 towed?

Since I am going to go with non-runflats, having my coupe towed will now be a real possibility. My AAA policy is good for 100 miles!
I don't want to damage my car (or tranny) by having it towed incorrectly. What is the correct way? Forwards?, backwards?, rear wheels suspended off the ground?
Anyone have any experience with this? I'm sure it's in the manual, but I thought I'd throw this out to the Mob.
Thank you!

Towed in a flat bed.

Djbt know now but I don’t think you can raise jen set of wheels on a AWF car.

With MB roadside assistance, I believe they send you a flat bed. However, after the warranty is over and you decide to keep the car, some towing services use a car dolly. I'm assuming that should be okay?

I called MB assistance when I bent my rim and they were going to send me a flatbed. Then this chaser showed and up pretended to be from MB assistance and put my car up using the front bar and a rear dolley. Then he starts moving and asks me where to go. I lost my **** and called 911 right away. Cop came and told him to put my car down. ***** broke my undertray cover when pulling out the tow bar from below. Had to get it replaced next day.

flatbed only. AWD = flatbed

otherwise the details are usually not very important.

Just curious why rear dollies won't work (because I'm genuinely stupid with this stuff)? Technically none of the wheels are on the ground so the car isn't being dragged at all right?

Technically, there's nothing wrong with rear dollies. I've always hated the thought of them because of the angle of the car during travel. A bad bump or dip in the road and you're dragging one end or the other.

I wouldn't be cool with it but if you're in a corner it's better than nothing. Calling a flatbed, specifically, is absolutely no issue where I live. If and when you call you mention it, it should not be a problem.

wow that’s insane. Good lesson to have them show identification or at least knowledge of the incident.

Gotta watch out for the snakes
